After the concert, Emmy invited Calum over- which sparked the attention of the other few boys, who decided they needed to come too.

Jade wasn't too thrilled about having people over at their apartment, but it's not like she really had to hang out with them, they were just there for Emmy.

Well- most of them. After her little conversation with Luke, Jade didn't realize just how soon she would be seeing him again.

She wasn't sure how she felt about him, but it was new and different- which scared her.

As soon as they got home and unlocked the door, letting everyone inside, Jade rushed to her bedroom, hoping to avoid any awkward conversation she might have to face with Luke.

Whatever she was "feeling" for Luke- she knew was temporary. This always happened when she met someone. She'd catch feelings for a week or two, find something about them that just didn't feel right, then push them away.

She knew that if she didn't let go of what happened with her and Gavin, she'd never move on.

But she couldn't help but think, maybe this time would be different? Maybe this would be the person she'd been waiting for that would flip her whole life around, making her completely forget about gavin- about everything.

But she knew she couldn't have such high hopes for someone she barely knew- she'd only talked to for a few minutes. It was almost ridiculous to even be having these thoughts about a stranger- especially when she had no idea what he was thinking.

Suddenly Jade's thoughts were interrupted by a soft knock on the door.

please don't be Luke, please don't be Luke, please don't be Luke.

She shyly walked over to the door, only opening it slightly to peak at who was on the other side.

She was slightly relieved to see her roomate-Emmy- standing on the other side.

"Hey Jade, you okay?" She asked with genuine concern.

Jade nodded, opening the door to fully reveal herself, now knowing it wasn't the stranger she had met earlier that night- who was now somewhere in her living room.

"I'm good, just a little exhausted," Jade shrugged, giving Emmy a tired look.

It's not that Jade was tired, it's just that she just only had so much energy, and stuff like this took a lot out of her. She just wanted to be alone for a while.

"Are you sure you don't want to come hang out with us? we're only watching a movie. You can leave whenever you want- but Luke was asking about you." She slightly smirked, causing Jade's cheeks to flush a slight red shade for what felt like the 100th time that night.

"Really? Why?" She asked shyly.

Emmy rolled her eyes. "Because he thinks you're cute! I think he would really like it if you came out and hung out with everyone."

Jade sighed, finally giving in. "okay, but I cant promise I'll be staying long."

Emmy quietly squealed. "yay!" She quickly grabbed Jade's arm, dragging her to the living room where the boys were already seated and chatting among themselves.

"I convinced her," Emmy laughed, smiling at the four boys.

Jade just rolled her eyes in response as Emmy made her way over to the chair calum was sitting in, placing herself in his lap facing the TV.

Jade looked around at all the seats, quickly realizing that the only spot left for her to sit- was next to Luke.

god damn it
