Twenty three : Luck

Taehyung's POV
As the sky turned dark, i sat still on the chair on my balcony, enjoying the cold air while drinking a cup of tea. Glancing at the large house beside me, i saw a very familiar girl staring at the sky on her own balcony.

Smiling, looking at her beautiful figure, i can understand clearly why i've fallen in love with her.

Did she really use me?

The same question went through my head once more, making my smile faint.

Without me noticing it, she glanced at her side and looked at me, grinning widely.

"Taehyung!!" She greeted me as if nothing happened.

I didn't respond, but i can feel my heart beating faster at the sight of her smile.

"Taehyung-ah! Are you okay? You've been acting strangely today." She continued and i answered her with a small shrugg.

Not gonna lie, as much as i want to ignore her, i just can't.

"Tae, i've been trying to talk to you but it was quite hard. It'd be great if you'd listen to me!" She shouted a little since our distance wasn't that close to each other. "Jinyoung sent me home today and we–"

"Yea i saw. I also went home with Yerin and had a great time!" I partially lied and went back into my room as anger started to fill my heart once again.

Frustrated, i laid myself down on my bed and just then, my phone rang, telling me someone is calling. I looked at the caller id which showed Suga hyung's name there before picking it up.

"What is it hyung?" I asked.

"What's wrong with you today, Tae? You seem to be keeping a distance from us." He said.

"Really?" I asked uninterested.

"Yeah. Moreover, you chose Yerin over us, even Jisoo. What is it?"

"What is what? Everything's fine, hyung."

"I'm not believing that, Tae."

"I'm just doubting her. It seems like she's been using me all these years." I blurted after letting out a sigh. Sooner or later, he'll find out the truth anyway. So i think it's better to just tell him now.

"Using you? What do you mean?"

"She comes when she needs me and leaves when she has another."

"I– you– where did you even get that idea?!"

"Doesn't matter."

"You got it from Yerin didn't you?"

"Doesn't matter." I repeated.

"Are you seriously trusting the girl that hates Jisoo the most than the girl that has lived for you for more than 15 years?!"

"The facts points–"

"Facts doesn't always points out the truth." He cut me off. "Enough with that, Tae. I know you get what i mean and let's just move on from this. I also know that this isn't the only and main reason you're keeping your distance from Jisoo. Spill it." He demanded.

There's just no point on lying to him. "Alright, hyung. What you said the other day turns our right. I know now that i'm in love with Jisoo as a girl and not as a sister. I was afraid that this love of mine would ruin our friendship. That's why i decided to keep my distance from her. To move on. When i've succeed, i'll get back to her and we'll be back to normal."
