Thirty one : Miss

Taehyung's POV

Our ride home was silent, it was awkward. This feels weird. I never had awkward silence with Jisoo. She would usually talk all the way to our destination.

I hate this. But what can i do?

"Tae." She suddenly called.

"Hm?"

"H-how's Yerin?" She asked. "Did she come home already?"

It took me a few minutes before answering back, "why?"

"What?"

"Why are you asking that?" I repeated my question.

"Oh, no reason.. i just.. i saw you two on your living room and i thought she might've not gone home yet, but you left her-"

"Suga hyung took her home." I cut her off and she nodded.

"Tae." She called again.

"Hm?"

"Are you and Yerin like.... a thing?" She asked.

I choked on my own saliva before i answered quick, "no. Why?"

"Nothing. I just feel like you two are becoming close to each other, and many thinks you're a thing." She shrugged. "But you two do look good with each other." She slightly smiled.

I didn't reply.

"Tae." She once again called.

"Hm." I replied.

"Uhm.. May i... ask you something?"

"Hm."

"Did i... do something wrong?"

"What?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows.

"I just feel like you've been acting strangely towards me these last few days, ever since i went home from the hospital."

"Like what?" I tried to hide my nervousness.

"Hmm... like.. you've been spending more time with Yerin lately and i feel like you're forgetting me. Don't get me wrong, i'm happy that you're able to get a new friend, other than me and the girls or the boys, but i don't know, it's just... different..?" She hesitatingly said. "I don't mind if you spend time with Yerin or other girls or boys, i just want to know if i did something wrong that it seems like you're keeping your distance towards me? You never text me again, you would sometimes only read my texts and ignore my calls, you wouldn't spend lunch with us, and well... yeah.. If i must be honest, i.. i miss you.." Her voice started to crack.

My breath hitched with what she said. Have i brought this too far?

"I don't even know why i'm saying this right now, i just want you to know that you mean a lot to me. My days has never been the same these last few days without you. I feel lonely." I can see her wipe her tears as she looked away. "I'm sorry for whatever i did to make you angry and have to keep your distance towards me. I'm sorry if i've been a burden towards you, you know? With all my complaints and noisy talks and stuff. I'm not mad at you for anything, including ignoring me." She chuckled. "I just simply want you to know how i feel about you, and how much you mean to me."

I stopped the motorcycle as we arrived in front of Jisoo's house. "Thanks for taking me home, Tae." She sincerely smiled widely. "I'll be going in now, i have some business to do with my parents and brother who dared to lie to me these five years." She pouted as she handed me the helmet i borrowed her. "Take care, Tae!" She waved and went in.

I turned left and went to park my motorcycle in the basement of my house before going into my room and flopping myself on my bed, staring at the ceiling, thinking of what Jisoo just said.
