Chapter 3

They stared at the blonde.

All of the students inside the classroom stared at their blonde prodigy classmate. They were already used to his calm and carefree attitude, but for some other reason, he held a face of utter bliss and happiness.

Inoichi lightly jabbed Choza's ribs, "Is it just me or is there something wrong with Minato?"

Choza gave a shrug and ate a chip he brought with him, "Well, it's not that wrong for him to act like that if something good happened to him."

"Troublesome."

Their Chunnin Sensei finally dismissed the children.

Minato couldn't help but be in cloud nine, the last few days had been awesome! He and his new Guardian had been using the free day's to get acquainted to each other.

And one thing's for sure, Naruto Uzumaki did can only be described into one word, she's very Bright. Literally and Figuratively.

He hummed through the hallway, but a sudden noise caught his attention. He curiously looked around before he found the source of the noise. He frowned when he spotted three older students clearly bullying a certain red head that he knew.

What the hell are they doing to Kushina?

"LEAVE ME ALONE!"

Minato immediately took action when he finally heard the distress pulsating at her words as she glared heatedly at the three genins.

Running faster than what he was suppose to, he took Kushina's hand and took her in his arms as he ran from the place. He can deal with the bullies later, right now, he have a red head to take care of.

"The hell's that for teme!?", Minato smiled nervously down at the blushing Kushina Uzumaki in his arms. "Well.... umm.... I was helping?"

"I can take care of my own", Kushina huffs, crossed her arms and looked away with a pout.

Minato couldn't help but though, 'Cute.'

Landing in several distance away from the bullies where he knew that they won't be seen, he puts down Kushina on her own two feet. The red head gladly took it as she looked down with a red face, not meeting Minato's face from the embarrassment of having to be saved.

"Minato! Where are you?!"

The familiar voice echoed from the Academy, making Minato perk up from the voice. Minato faced Kushina with a sheepish smile whilst scratching the back of his neck, "Well that's my Guardian, I better go before she gets worried."

Minato turned around and ready to jump into the trees, but a hand stopped him. He turned around with a curious look and blinked when he came face to face with Kushina's Red face, her hand holding the hem of his shirt, "T-thanks for helping me out there."

Minato's eyes widened.

Before his features softened as he smiled at the girl, Kushina feeling a little bit of something fluttering in her chest for some unknown reasons why, "No problem Kushina-chan."

The two stared at each other, lost into themselves.

"My my, your really working fast Mina-chan. I didn't know you were into red heads."

Minato and Kushina whipped their heads where the voice was in shock. Kushina widened her eyes as she looked at the beautiful woman leaning at a tree with a smile on her face.

Minato however..... he blushed, "N-Naruto-san...!"

Naruto shook her, "Jeez Mina-chan, how many times do I have to tell you to stop adding -san to my name!"
