(The trigger warning from the last chapter still stands, plus the trigger warning if food. I hope you enjoy!)

Levi's memory didn't serve him well as of recently, that was especially so since he could never seem to remember that Erwin was dead.

The following morning was no different, he woke up expecting to see his caregiver by his side, but he was alone. All the memories of last night flooded back to him, Erwin was gone and Eren must've left him too.

Levi had no more energy to cry, all he could really do was pout. Even though he'd just had a full night's rest, he felt as if he'd never even gone to sleep at all. He still felt tired, drained of everything but the pain he felt for loosing Erwin.

A cold draft washed over him, but not a harsh one; not even strong enough to make him shiver. Just a small one, like a tap on the shoulder almost.

After that, Levi heard a knock on the door. "Captain, it's me!" Eren said, "can I come in? I bought tea."

Levi sighed, "did you make it?" He asked.

"No," Eren replied, "Hange did."

"In that case, come in." Levi said, sitting up completely to face the door.

Eren walked in, carefully holding the tray of tea and a small breakfast for Levi as he shut the door with his foot.

"And get your nasty shoes off my door, that's disgusting and causes so many unnecessary germs." Levi complained.

"Sorry, captain." Eren replied, giving the best salute he could while holding an entire tea set and food on a tray. "I promise I'll clean it later."

"Damn right you will," Levi huffed.

Eren walked over to Levi's side of the bed, setting the tray down on the nightstand. He gently poured some hot tea into a cup for Levi and offered it to him.

Levi quickly accepted the tea, picking it up by letting his hand hover over it like he always did rather than just using the handle. After he took a sip, he looked up at Eren.

"Are you just going to stand there, or are you going to pour yourself a cup?" Levi asked.

"Oh, sorry captain. I didn't know you were offering me some." Eren said, gently pouring a cup of tea for himself.

"Do you think I can drink a whole pot of tea by myself?" Levi asked.

Eren knew the answer was 'yes,' he had seen the captain do that multiple times. However, to be respectful, Eren replied with a, "no, captain."

Levi looked up at Eren and shook his head. "You are such a suck up, you can be honest, you know. I won't be offended."

There was another thing he missed about Erwin, he would never sugar coat things and would always tell things how they were, even if it wouldn't always benefit him.

Eren stifled a sigh, "I'm sorry, captain." He sat down next to him on the bed, gently sipping at his tea.

"Eren," Levi asked, pointing to his breakfast. "What is that?"

"Your breakfast," Eren replied simply. "Hange told me if you didn't eat, they'd be in here to 'shove it down your throat.'"
