Tris POV

"Come over pleassssssssseeeeee!" I heard Uriah scream through the phone as Chris tried coaxing me into going over to Zeke's.

"Shut up Uriah!!!" I've held the phone away from my ear for about five minutes now listening and laughing at the background quarreling. "Now Tris come over."

"No. I think I will just stay home tonight. Parties and I don't mix you know that it."

"Yeah yeah yeah I know and this isn't a party. There is only a few beers that Uriah is harboring." She's waiting for me to answer, but I just sat on my bed playing with the split ends of my hair. Pulling the two little sides apart betting to myself whether the right side or left side would be the one floating to my floor.

"I'm not coming. Not with.."

"Lauren isn't here." I sighed, but she spoke before I could. "And neither is Four. It is me, Will, Uriah, Marlene, and Zeke was around here somewhere." Her voice got quiet, "He was with Shauna and Cara showed up unexpectedly. I think he is in trouble."

I felt my eyebrows rise and curiosity hit. I had been sitting in my house not doing anything all winter break. Al went to visit family down in Florida while I sit here waiting for him to come back. It has been two months since we made it official. I've grown comfortable with his touches and kisses. He doesn't pressure me to go any faster, but truth is our relationship is slower then slow. I can't bring myself to go any further then what we have because when I shut my eyes I see Tobias. When Al runs his hands up my leg my brain flips a switch and there I am with Tobias as he runs his hand up my prickling skin. I've waited for his face to fade in this time, but it hasn't. The more I see him and Lauren at school the more the anger falls to its knees and bows down to sadness.

"Hello! Earth to Tris?" Chris's squeal bounced around from the speaker of the phone to my ear drum and back again.

"Yeah?"

"Are you coming or not!?"

Oh what the hell. Al won't be back until Sunday night. It is Friday, might as well have some fun on break before school greets us all on Monday. "Yeah I'll be there soon." We said goodbye and I started getting ready.

My phone buzzed and I swiped the unlock screen over. Uriah sent a a picture of his beer bottle shoved up his nostril. How did he even fit that in there? I shuddered at the thought. My phone went off again as I walked out the door. I didn't stop in my tracks as I had done weeks ago when I got an unexpected message from Eric. I usually got one a day now and I would read it some of the time, but ignored them mostly.

Tris please talk to me. I want to see you. We need to talk about that night.
Tris I want to be with you.
Tris I love you.
The texts started simple, but little by little they got worse.
Tris fucking text me back.
Stop ignoring me.
You think that little boyfriend of yours can keep you for me?
You are fucking mine Tris, you know it. You have known it.
Today I just hit ignore and didn't dare look at what he wanted me to read. Caleb went on vacation with Susan to her grandmother's in Virginia so I grabbed his keys and jumped into his car. No way was I freezing my ass off on the walk over there.

The door swung open before I could even knock and Uriah grabbed my arm pulling me into a big bear like hug. "Well hey there Uriah. Miss me much?" Uriah is a happy drunk. When he gets a few beers in him he is all about peace and love. Just like the hippies at Woodstock.

"Of course I've missed my Trissy! I don't see you as much as I did when you were with..Ouch!" I saw Chris and Marlene throw twin punches at both his arms. Letting me go he chased after Marlene as she threw a giggling fit when he caught her and swung her around.
