Tommy's favorite place had to be the the garden, and not the one in front of the school. There was a garden not too far from the gates of the school. Many animals tended to visit, and Tommy swore he had never seen so many bees in his life. The flowers were gorgeous, and it held a variety of them, too. The trees were very pretty, vines hanging from each one.
Tommy had seen it during Phil's little tour of the place. Classrooms, library, kitchen, his office, and so on. While in Phil's office they set up his classes which were not what he was used to. No matter.
After that, Phil brought him to the building he called the dorms. It was halls and halls of rooms, but the building was probably quarter size of the actual main building.
"You'll be sharing with Tubbo, you met him earlier." Phil said. "I think you two will get along well. Tubbo's the reason we have so many bees in the garden."
"You let him put bees there?" Tommy asked.
"I told him he could put bees in the garden as long as he did it right." Phil corrected. "Tubbo's one of the smartest kids on this campus. So I put my trust in him. He's the bee keeper."
Tommy nearly let out a chuckle at the nickname. Bee keeper? Those bees looked too free for Tubbo to be considered a bee keeper.
"Here it is."
The room door was wide open, decorated with bees on the bottom half. Tommy took note of the "keep out" written poorly at the bottom. "kaap ot" was what it read, but Tommy assumed it meant keep out.
"Tubbo?" Phil glanced into the room. "Tommy's your new roommate."
"Woo!"
When Tommy popped his head in, Tubbo was. . . Well he was hanging from the ceiling, but that wasn't the weird part. The weird part was the pots and pans sticking to the ceiling next to him.
"Hi, Tommy! Sorry, I was experimenting with the super glue." Tubbo hopped down, relieving Tommy that he hadn't super glued himself to the ceiling. "Phil, I might've ruined the ceiling."
Phil only sighed. "That's alright. I'll have to send out another grant. Please don't overwhelm Tommy with your experiments."
"I won't." Tubbo smiled. "I promise, Tommy. I will stray away from experimenting in the room for as long as possible."
"Oh, that's alright. It's still your room." Tommy replied. "I don't mind."
"Nope! I know how crazy I can get, it's the reason Ranboo moved out. He couldn't handle it. But this is the last open room until Phil gets the place renovated. You're still doing that, aren't you, Phil?"
"Yes."
"So it's common courtesy to try to keep my crazy experiences out of the room until new ones are available. Then I'll bring them back and that's when you can decide to stay or go." Tubbo stated, a bright smile one his face the entire time.
"Well, okay. If you insist."

Tubbo was nice, beyond nice. He was always making sure Tommy felt comfortable in his new room. He helped Tommy unpack his things and organize them in a way that made sense (something Tommy had trouble doing). If he played music, he asked first and even let Tommy pick songs if he'd like. He showed Tommy how to make a few origami animals, which he was sure he would never remember how to do.
Maybe this place wouldn't be so bad, even if it was almost the equivalent of an orphanage.
At first, Tommy thought Tubbo's power or ability was being extra smart, but it turns out he just had a photographic memory. Which, in all honesty, Tommy didn't think actually existed. However, Tubbo's power was nature manipulation. Apparently, when he was younger, he once caused a tree to grow right into the school. It was a great deal trying to fix it (probably explaining it, too).
