"Tommy! Tommy! Wake up!"
Tommy opened his eyes to Tubbo. He had a wide grin on his face and was jumping up and down next to him on the bed.
"Quackity is coming home! You get to meet Quackity!"
Tommy was more than sure in that moment that he didn't want to meet any one else. He was tired, it was early, and it was the goddamn weekend. He had spent his last few days studying how to control his power to please Wilbur. Who, much to his demise, he genuinely looked up to. The guy had his priorities straight and his mind organized.
"No, I'm good." Tommy pulled his covers over his head, trying to block out the bright light from their fan.
"Come on! You'll like Quackity. He comes home from a quest today." Tubbo persisted. "Come on, Tommy."
"I said I'm good. I wanna sleep in." Tommy responded.
Tubbo pouted but slipped off his bed. "I'll tell him you said hi, then. I'm sure he'd be excited to meet you."
"Mm." Tommy hummed, clearly not even listening to what Tubbo was saying anymore. He would meet this Quackity guy later. For now, he wanted to drift off to dreamland where he had a family and there was no blood god.
Oh wait, the blood god could access his dreams.
"Fine." Tommy plunged out of bed and stalked past Tubbo to his closet.
"Oh. Okay." Tubbo smiled.
As they walked down the hall towards the main lounge, Tommy took note of how happy Tubbo looked. He was bouncing off the back of his heels, his cheeks fluffed from smiling so wide. His hands were filled with energy, palms facing the floor. Tubbo was normally a super bubbly person, but he had never been this bubbly about something before, this happy. This Quackity guy must have been special to him.
"Who is this guy again?"
"Quackity, oh, well, his name is Alex but everyone calls him Quackity. He stays in the same foster home as me and Schlatt. He's like another brother, a better brother." Tubbo said. "He went on a quest about a year ago, and now he's finally coming back!"
"A year ago?" Tommy had heard briefly of these quests, but he didn't know too much about them. A year sounded like a long time, especially for a kid. They were still growing up, and to spend a chunk of it doing some sort of quest made Tommy not want to go, not that he was approved to go on one right now.
"Yeah. It was a big quest. I don't know what it was though, no one knows. We're not exactly allowed to know, which I think is stupid."
Tommy nodded. "Me too."
They arrived in the main lounge, people already greeting the unfamiliar face in the room. His face was covered in scars, and he wore a beanie.
"Quackity!" Tubbo three his arms out and at towards him, the older boy throwing his own hands out.
"Tubbo!"
The hugged tightly, Quackity rubbing his hand in Tubbo's hair. They seemed to be close.
It made Tommy think, where was Schlatt? Surely they were somewhat close, too. Schlatt had to have some good relationships with people, surely Quackity was one of them? Yet even as Tommy glanced around, there was no Schlatt in the room.
"This is Tommy, my new roommate!" Tubbo pulled Tommy back to reality as he introduced them. "And Tommy, this is Quackity."
"Hey, nice to meet you. It's cool to see some new faces around here." Quackity said.
