2020 was not for the faint-hearted. The world as we know it changed drastically.
We faced a pandemic, quarantine, suffering, loss, uncertainty, fear. But we also saw courage, kindness, dedication, resilience, quiet strength. It was a true test of character.
We fell ill. We lost loved ones. We lost jobs. Businesses closed. But new jobs and opportunities arose. Those unlikely became frontline heroes, business owners or online content developers.
In isolation, we were forced to pause. Without the din, we felt anxious and lost. We dealt with misery, even depression. There was nothing to do and so much time .
At this slower pace, we noticed the simple things. We put our lives in perspective. We reassessed our priorities. We appreciated family and friends. We rekindled our faith. We took up new interests and hobbies. We were inspired. We got creative. We used technology beyond social media to learn, to do business, to connect.
It was a most difficult year. Yet in many ways it was epic. We did not let a virus define our lives. We looked past the bad things. We struggled but we prevailed. We were able to adapt.
With the last few minutes ticking away, I am grateful we survived 2020. With hope and a prayer in our hearts, we begin anew. 2021, we are ready you!
