In whispered tones
In subtle ways
Inalterable, consistent.
I take my time
Discovering
Beyond the words
Beneath the actions.
In each encounter
A hint of character
A glimpse of truth
To see and listen.
And once familiar
Trust is fostered
A bond between two
Is then created.
It isn't easy
To make the effort
You'll find it's worth it
To know a person.
