In my mind's eye I could see
A world of wondrous beauty
Everyone has what they need
And every heart is happy.
I blinked and saw the scene change
As reality set in
Suffering and poverty
Defaced what I had seen.
Although a bit disheartened
I forge ahead determined
The goal is to get closer
To life as I imagined.
