The Mating Ritual (Misaki's POV)

I woke up in Vale's room. I sighed. I remember everything that happened yesterday. I can't believe I actually believed that my father would accept me and love me as his daughter.

I think he cared more about making more money than anything. I heard shuffling next to me. I turned over and nearly fell off the bed. Laying next to me was Vale. He was shirtless, and wow...those abs. I trailed my eyes down his body. To be perfectly honest, I never really stopped to take a look at his features.

Now that I have a minute to really look at him, I noticed that he had a built body. Kind of like he lifted weights for a living. Which I have to say is hot. He had a six pack that was screaming for me to touch, and muscles bulging everywhere.

"Are you enjoying the view my love?" I was brought out of my thoughts by Vale's smooth voice. I blushed and hid my face in the covers.

"Aww come on. Don't hide your pretty face from me." Vale lifted the covers off of my head, and placed his hand on my cheek. I was probably the color of a cherry by now.

"There we go. Good morning my love. Did you sleep well?" I nodded and sat up.

"Good morning. I slept well, thank you. But now I'm a little hungry." I felt shy around him. Normally I'm quite open, but with him I'm the opposite.

"Ah, that's right. Since you're partially turned, and it has been a few days, you should start feeling our mating urges right about now." He said standing up and going to what I assumed was a closet.

"Mating..Urges?" I said, not understanding what he meant.

"Yes. They are what mates get when they meet their mate, but have not mated yet. Usually the urges vary per mating group. Since I partially changed you, you might feel the need to feed. Normally, once the urges start, the couple chooses to complete the mating ritual. It's the only way to stop the urges." At this point, Vale had come out of the closet and was walking back towards me. He had changed his shirt to a light grey button up.

"Ok so, how do we complete the mating ritual?" I asked.

"Well to complete it, I must mark and mate with you. It's kind of similar to what werewolves do with their mates. I bite you and give you my mark, and then you will drink a little of my blood. After that, you will bite me and mark me. You will then become a full vampire." Vale sat down next to me. I leaned against him.

"The second part of the ritual is to mate. Which would mean we would have to become one." Vale was blushing up a storm.

What did 'become one' mean? Wait.. Did he mean have sex?!

"You mean have sex?!" I yelled, now blushing too. Vale nodded. I sat up looking at him with wide eyes.

"But we don't have to do that at this minute. We can just mark each other, that way you are protected. The other part can be completed when you feel you are ready. Is that ok?" Vale said, putting his palm on my face again.

I nodded looking into his eyes. I leaned in and kissed him. Vale seemed surprised for a minute, but returned the kiss. The kiss was warm, and it felt as if my whole body was on fire. After a few minutes of making out, his lips traveled to my neck.

"That was my first kiss." I mumbled, but Vale heard me.

"Well I am honored. The kisses from now on and everything else will belong to me." He said kissing up my neck. He got to a certain spot and I whimpered.

"It will only hurt for a second. Bare with it, ok." Vale's teeth extended into long fangs. Without a second thought he plugged them into the crease of my neck. I gave a short scream. The pain was unbearable. I closed my eyes and grit my teeth. Soon the pain became dull, and was replaced by pleasure.

I gripped Vale harder as he proceeded to suck my blood out. Vale soon released his hold on me and retracted his fangs.

"Now it's your turn." He said, turning his neck to me for better access. I nodded.

"How do I use my fangs?" I asked.

"Each vampire has an inner and outer self. A human form and a vampire form. Imagine yourself with fangs, and your body will take it from there." I nodded and closed my eyes to do as he said.

After awhile, I could feel my teeth changing, expanding and sharpening. I opened my eyes and took a deep breath. Vale was still turned with his neck exposed.

I leaned in and bit down on his neck. I sucked a little of his blood, and swallowed. It was sweet, kind of like a berry. I stayed there for a little, then pulled away. I watched in amazement as the wound closed on its own.

Vale turned back to me and stared.

"What? Do I have something on my face?" I asked. He shook his head.

"No but your vampire form is nothing that I've ever seen." I looked at him in confusion. What did he mean?

"What do you mean?" He just shook his head and pointed to the full body mirror. I walked over to the mirror and looked at myself. What I found was mind blowing.

My hair had grown past my knees and had changed to a silver color. Very different from my normally dark brown hair. My eyes were the color of dried blood. My body had also changed. I was about a half a foot taller than I normally was. About six feet from my normal five-five. I had also gotten slimmer.

"Woah. This is me?" I muttered to myself. Vale came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Yes it is my love. How do you feel?" He asked.

"I feel fine. Actually great. Like a weight has been lifted off my chest." I said hugging him.

"I know I've said this already, but thank you so much for saving me. Without you, I'd probably be dead or out on the streets alone." I said looking down.

"You are perfectly welcome. Welcome to the realm where the darkness is our friend, Misaki. I hope you find everything to your liking here. If there is anything you need, just ask. After all, you are this worlds next Queen." I nodded. He kissed me on the forehead and turned around.

"Now then. Why don't we head down to the kitchen and grab some real food." He said, turning half way.

I nodded and followed him out the door.

Today, my life has changed. And I can't wait to see what the future holds for us.
