I woke up in the infirmary. Ugh. I feel like crap. I sat up and winced. Curse that stupid blade. I looked around the room, and didn't see anyone in sight. Since no ones here might as well, think about all the things that have happened up till now.
I blushed thinking about what I told Vale, before I fell asleep. I told him I wanted to complete the mating process. I gently smiled. I was lucky to have found him.
He's like the light in the darkness. Well, since we technically are creatures of the dark, you could say he's the dark in the light. Ugh. What am I talking about?
I can't believe in a matter of two months, I had a mate, an actual friend, and I became a vampire. On top of that, I'll soon be a queen. Now that is going to be weird. I've never been good at formalities and having guards and maids, and armies at my command is just going to be strange. Well, the guards and maids are the usual, but I still didn't like relying on them.
I sat up and got off the bed. I was still in the same clothes as before, so I didn't have to worry about the awkward hospital gowns. I wonder where Vale went. I found a guard standing outside the door of the infirmary.
"Um. Excuse me?" I asked timidly. The guard looked over at me and bowed.
"Oh your highness, you're awake. What can I do for you?" He asked.
"Um. You can get up. Can you tell me where Vale is?" I asked, gesturing for him to get up.
"Oh actually, his highness is in his study. If you would like, I can lead you there." He said straighten back up. I nodded, and followed him down the hall.
This palace was beautiful. All the black, purple, and red blended well together. To be honest, it looked like a typical Vampire Castle, with all the black and hollow walls.
"We are here, your highness." The guard said, stopping at a door with a crown on the door. Oh that was fast. I got so caught up in my thoughts, that I didn't realize we were already here.
"Thank you." I said and knocked on the door. The guard nodded and walked back to his post. I heard a small come in, from inside the room. I opened the door, and walked in. I looked around, in wonder. It was so clean and glamorous. His desk was a maroon color, and his curtains, were black out, so no sun could get in.
"Misaki! What are you doing out of bed?" He said rushing to my side. I shooed him off.
"I'm fine. Stop worrying so much. I came to find you. I can't stay in bed all day." I said sitting on the couch on the side of the room. Vale walked back to his desk.
"Is there something you needed?" I shook my head.
"I was just thinking of our life. It's only been two months since we met, and so much has changed." I said.
"Is that a bad thing?" Vale asked.
"No of course not." I got up and walked over to him. I wrapped my arms around his waist and leaned close to him. "I'm glad that you changed my life, and I can't wait to be your queen."
