I wake on Friday, happy to be almost done with the week, even though I love Hogwarts. I won't have to worry about anything. I can just hang out with Draco and Ron.

But first, Transfiguration. McGonagall doesn't hate me, she just is harsh to all her students. I sit at a desk near the middle of the room. Draco and Ron soon walk in. Not at the same time, just near to each other. Ron sits next to me and Draco sits diagonally across from me. I smile.

"Hey, Ron!" I say.

Ron grins. "Hey, so glad it's Friday!"

I nod. "Me too."

I start taking notes. McGonagall waits for no one to start talking. I try to write down every word, but it's hard to keep up. Professor McGonagall has us turning kittens into tissue boxes. I'm worried about what happens to the kittens, but I ignore my fear. I wave my wand, but just succeed in poking my kitten in the eye. I pet it to calm it down.

"It's okay." I whisper. "I'm sorry."

Draco smiles gently at me. I smile back. I pet my kitten again.

"Mr. Potter!" Professor McGonagall says. "That kitten is the lesson, not a pet!"

I frown. "But, Professor-"

"Not buts, Mr. Potter!" She says sharply.

I sigh. "I'm sorry, buddy." I whisper to my kitten.

I wave my wand and turn him into a tissue box as he mews pitifully. I hold back tears. Poor kitten.

After class, I run down the hall. I didn't want to hurt the little guy. I sit on a bench. I hate Transfiguration. A tear slides out of my eye. I bury my face in my hands. I feel a hand on my shoulder.

"Harry..."

It's Draco.

I sniff and look up. "I'm sorry, Draco."

"What for?"

"For being a baby." I whimper.

Draco sighs. "You aren't a baby, Harry, you care about animals."

I sigh. "But that's not what I'm supposed to do."

"It doesn't matter what you're supposed to do." Draco says softly. "I think what you did was sweet."

I blush slightly. "Why?"

"You cared about something smaller than you." Draco says. "Something less significant."

"I don't think it was." I reply

"That's my point." Draco utters.

I brush my hair out of my eyes. "I just-I don't know."

Draco breathes out softly. "Harry...you are very sweet. Don't listen to McGonagall."

I smile with the side of my mouth. "I don't agree."

"Why?" Draco asks softly. "Why not?"

"I've never done anything great." I say. "And don't bring up Voldemort, because all I did was not die." I say as Draco opens his mouth. "I've never done anything actually brave or Gryffindor worthy."

Draco frowns. "I think being you is enough."

I smile with my whole face. "Wow. That's...really sweet."

Draco blushes, clearly visible on his pale face. "Yeah, well..." He gets up. "See you later, Harry."

"See you later, Draco."

That night, I lay in bed. Draco is...so nice. I thought he was terrible at first. Maybe he was just keeping a guard up or something. I turn over. He's...I sigh. I dunno. Maybe I'll think about it tomorrow.

I wake up, so glad it's Saturday. I hate weekdays. They're just getting worse. I  sigh as I get up. I have to get up, right? I get dressed and walk absentmindedly to breakfast. I sit next to Ron.

"Hey." I say.

"Hi!" Ron says. "Love Saturdays!" He says.

I laugh. "You love everyday!"

"Not Mondays." He says with raised eyebrows.

I giggle. We finish breakfast and I sit outside by Draco and I's tree. I love that tree. I stare at my dad's names. And Moony and Padfoot's. Peter seems like such a good friend, I can't believe he got my parents killed. I groan as I climb the tree. Good friends don't last, I guess. I sit on the branch and look out across the grounds. Sometimes, it's nice to be alone.
