I was now standing in the dressing area of a court-house awaiting to marry Sam, whose ex-wife would vow as a witness and stand as a guest. This is crazy, I thought to myself as I fastened the strings of my white dress, Sam had bought me an hour ago at an upscale boutique.
Despite my agreement, I had tried to convince him our marriage could wait one day or perhaps a month when we could return to South Carolina, but his tired eyes and resilient mouth would not budge.
"I cannot bare to wait one more day to call you my wife," he kept saying over and over again. I could not deny him and now I found myself staring in front of a dirty mirror about to marry myself off to a man I've known and grown to love in less than a year in a courthouse.

I loved him deeply and surrendered myself to his deepest desire at hand. Surely, I had depicted this moment surrounded by family and friends, but I was cascades with no other option, I thought to myself as I pulled my hair from the rag. It sprung free and wild and ran my fingers through it to tame it the best I could.
The door of the dressing room swung open and a tall lanky man with a brown mustache that prickled his lips appeared. His unannounced presence gave me quite a shock and gripped my chest as if my heart was about fall out and onto the floor.
"Are you ready, Madame?," he asked.
"Yes, you gave me quite a fright," I replied.
"I'm sorry," he said.
"I'm sure your sorry to all the women whom you barge in on announced," I mumbled under my breath.
"I'm sorry, what was that?" he asked.
I shook my head and he continued, " I came to inform you, your husband awaits in the chapel. We're ready when you are." he said as he creepily grinned at me.
I took one last glance at my self in the mirror before flipping the vail over my head and replied, "I'm as ready as I'll ever be."
The chapel of the court was dull, brown, and looked as if hadn't been cleaned in years. I passed each grey pew one by one and saw Selena standing and sulking with a fake smile plastered on her face, and I returned the expression. Samuel was almost unrecognizable as he stood before the priest with his shaven head. He was shaking and nervous as he held a velvet red box containing a ring. I finally made my way to stand as once with my future husband and the butterflies in my stomach were instantly activated.
Sam was still shaking and I reached to grab both of his hands for a few moments to comfort him but I was interrupted by painful sting on my hands. I looked up to find the preacher scowling at me who had slapped my hand. "Not Yet!" Ms. Brandy," he said, emphasizing the word Brandy and I shyly pulled my hands away.

After I reversed my hands, the old man went on. " Now you may join hands," as he said grinned at the both of us. My vail altered my vision but I saw a small smile form at the corners of Sam's lips and his eyes squinted in joy. It was the first time I had seen him smile so big since we rescued him and I couldn't help but return it; "As we're gathered here today..." the priest finally finished the speech and it was now time to take our vows.
"Do you Rain Bardy take this man to be your lovely wedded husband?" he asked.
''I do,'' I replied as I slipped a gold ring on to his finger and he recited my action and slipped a beautiful red diamond ring onto my ring finger. It felt heavy on my finger and was a red oval diamond with a gold band. I had never seen anything like it and that's when it hit me. Uncontrollable tears streamed down my face of happiness and relief. To love and be loved by someone was the missing theory of my life. Although, I had friends and family, I had never felt love like this.
Love from an ageless man that would last forever.

"You may kiss your bride," the priest said as he closed his small black bible and bowed his bold and spotted headed. Sam took a deep breath before unveiling me and gasped in shock of my beauty. I hadn't done much beside pull my finger through my hair and add red lipstick to my lips, but he made me feel like the most beautiful girl in the world. I blushed as the remaining tears trickled down my face. Sam gently wiped them away using both hand finally grabbed my waist and pierced my lips with his. They were ice cold but his energy was warm and magnetic, that I did want him to let go.

I opened my eyes and he opened his and we stared at each other for a few moments hypnotized by the love and desire emanating off our bodies.

Samuel and I received word that night that everyone at estate, except for the persist were safe and they were slowly recovering from the incident. Relief set in my chest. Selena and Teal stayed at the hotel that night, while Sam decided we should stay at the estate in New York. The house had been clean and groomed, being we had expected to move in immediately after getting married. The four-story mansion had been painted white and the lawn had been cut and treated that made it perfectly green despite the emitting Fall. Roses, carnations, and violets had been placed around the entire mansion and on both perimeters of the pavement that led to the mansions. The estate was also enclosed by a white picket fence that stood several inches above my head and blocked any view beyond the inside of the estate. The entire estate looked completely different from the last time I had saw it, almost unrecognizable.

''Men! Excuse yourself and return at dawn,'' Sam yelled and both men dressed in khaki trousers and tail black tail coats exited the fence and Sam locked it behind them.

''Now, your all mine. Take off the dress,'' he ordered.

''But we're out in the open-,'' I protested.

''With no-one to watch,'' he said as took off his jacket and took a step towards me.
