The calloused fingertips of unfathomable darkness graze against the planet's decrepit surface, the violent touch of night-time condemning it to nothingness. A lonesome cradle floats across the barren plane, meandering in the direction of a fallen town; just barely visible through the dull illuminance of its streetlights. Peeking out from its confines is a child, a whimper passing his pouted lips as he stares, wide-eyed, upon his surroundings. Stood alert on either side of the cradle are two bounty hunters, a Mandalorian and an Alderaanian - an unlikely pair brought together by their care for the child, yet staying together through their care for one another.
"Remind me how you know the contact." Distorted through his helmet's modulator, Din's words pierce the delicate quiet, his voice lowered cautiously, aware of the onlookers following their every move. Crossing the threshold into the near-abandoned town, they find sanctuary beneath the flickering illuminance of the street lamps. A vast sea of beady, red eyes burn into from every angle, the foreign creatures hidden within the darkness' veil.
"I sold him information on a Mandalorian bounty hunter. The one who nearly killed me." The whisper dances across Eden's cracked lips, her eyes wandering to her companion as the response hangs within the air - anticipating a response that was not quite happy. Din's helmet tilts in her direction, and, despite the barrier of the beskar, she can feel the sting of his unimpressed gaze. Though her tone was absent of shame for her past choice, she reassures the Mandalorian. "Don't worry, the hunter was dead long before Gor could get his hands on him. He wasn't dishonoured."
Weaving throughout the intricate maze of alleyways sprawled across the town, Eden guides them down a familiar path, never straying far from the light. They ease to a halt before a sealed door, a Twi'lek blocking the entryway from their view. She tilts her head upwards to meet their eyes, watching without a flicker of emotion as they cross their arms over their chest; challenging both her and the Mandalorian. Raising her hands in a mocking surrender, Eden steps closer to the Twi'lek. A few words of Huttese seep off her silver tongue - speaking the phrase the contact had requested them to, to identify them properly. "Jee-jee are unko che Gor Koresh. Che doe Mandalorians."
An eerie silence lingers within the wake of her words, the Twi'leks eyes scanning over both Eden and Din, sizing them up as if he knew they were a threat. His steely gaze then creeps downwards, burning into the child as the innocent creature merely coos. Lingering an agonising moment more, the Twi'lek opens the door. Stepping aside, allowing them entry with only a curt nod, and a few begrudgingly muttered words.
As the clan of three enter the building, the first sensation to dawn upon Eden is the thunderous shouts of a crowd, numerous languages being spoken, some of which she could not identify. Before their eyes is a fighting ring, with a sea of spectators crowding it's every corner. Within the ring are two Gamorreans, grunts violently rippling from them as they battle one another, armed only with Vibro-axes. With each injury the creatures receive, the crowd ignites into an uproar of glee, their cheers reverberating throughout the night.
