Miserable flecks of snow descend through the tension tainted atmosphere, falling, further and further, until they dissipate upon the disrupted ground.

In the aftermath of agreeing to help their passenger, Din and Eden had set out on a quest to repair their ship, or, simply, enable it to function. A tormented silence dwells within the air as they work upon it, side-by-side, yet further apart than they'd ever been. Their focus had strayed from the ship before them; their attention instead consumed by the harrowing distance wedged between themselves, by their own doing.

It felt as if their once alight furnace hearts had begun to simmer out; the flames binding them together robbed of their fuel.

A searing sensation corrupts the tip of Eden's tongue, the words which had long danced upon it begging for escape. Her knuckles painted a sickly white from the strength of her hold, her fingers grasp desperately onto the tool within her hand; squeezing upon its cool metal as though it were her last tether to reality. Slowly, her jagged movements fall still, the war within her mind condemning her body. Absent-mindedly, her jaw falls open in preparation for words, but they're never given the privilege of wandering out into the ice-cold air of the night.

Though his conflict is hidden from the universe's eye, the same hurricane of emotions is raging within the ashen heart of the man beside her. Every muscle within himself aches to turn his gaze upon Eden, yet Din's T-Visor remains strictly set upon the metal before him. Yet, unlike his counterpart, he scrounges together the willpower to utter his thoughts, and shatters the unholy silence. "The Mandalorian who owned the armour- what did you say his name was?"

"Boba Fett." The words crawl violently past Eden's lips, poisoning her with their taste. In a move that would've passed unnoticed if not for Din's trained eye, her body dimly recoils as her voice ricochets within the air; the name echoing amongst the ice caves that engulf them. But, as quickly as the distaste had brewed, it evaporates, instead replaced with an unwelcomed sense of defensiveness, and, above all else, frustration. "Why does it matter so much to you that I knew him?"

"Why is he important enough for you to lie about?" The same frustration flaring easily within himself, Din's sharp response escapes before his mind can truly process it. A flickering pause passes between them, but, in this silence, the pieces of the puzzle he'd too long been ignorant to catastrophically begin to fall perfectly into place within his mind. "You're scared of him."

"I'm-" Eden's swift retort trails off, losing its strength before it reaches completion. "I'm not scared of anyone. Just... Things didn't end too well the last time I saw him."
