Chapter 11

Marley was sitting in a chair looking at the mirrow that was infront of her, she was playing with her hands as the nervousness was killing her. She felt that her stomach was gonna messed with her and maybe throw of up for all the things Marley is feeling. They were just moments from going into stage and perform their number for sectionals, Jake was walking by his team mates and then saw how Marley was alone sitting in a chair nervous. So he then walked towards her and now that he was along side her said.

"Hey are you okay?" Jake asked with some worry in his voice looking at Marley who simply replied.

"Y-Yeah I'm okay" Marley said with her voice shaking a little and Jake saw it.

"I don't think you're okay, can I help you with something?" Jake replied once again wanting to help the brunnete, cause he cared for her.

"Fine I'm not okay, I feel that everyone is depending on me and if I fail everyone will hate me, all of you, my mom, Seb...... this would be ruined and it's gonna be my fault" Marley stated with her voice shaking while being nervous all the time, her fear was to disappoint her friends and be hated. She also almost slipped the name of Sebastian while talking but quickly corrected herself.

"All this time I hadn't slept during various days in this week. And now this is making everything worse and I don't if I could do it" Marley replied again in frustration and looking at Jake not knowing how to calm down.

"Look it's okay to be nervous, you can use it to your advantage" Jake started saying with a small smile and holding her hands trying to reassure her that it was something good but then she exclaimed.

"How is being like this all nervous will help me?, I feel horrible now" Marley said with frustration again while Jake took a deep breath was gonna continue speaking with her but Ryder arrived and said.

"Jake sorry, but I need you to replace me for this number. I got injured in reheasal and I don't think I could perform well" Ryder said with a serious look on his face, this surprised Jake and Marley, he saw as well that Ryder wasn't having problems with walking.

"It was has to be now, I'm ocupied with something important" Jake answered back a little annoyed to be interrumpted by Ryder.

"It is believe me, we don't have to much time please" Ryder said again now with a pleading look on his face while seeing both Marley and Jake

"But I didn't see you having problems with your foot before" Jake replied furrowing his eyes at him, then Ryder took his arm walking away from Marley a bit and then he said in a lower voice cause the rest of the New Directions where near.

"Look I am doing this as favour for you, not because I reheased for a couple of days doesn't make me a great dancer, you did this for years and have what it takes to guide Finn and all of them to win this sectionals. The first time you got my back helping me with Finn, now it's my turn to help you, you can do it man" Ryder stated honestly to Jake telling him the truth about his 'injury' and it was something he wanted to do, return the favour he received days ago. Jake sighed heavily thinking about this, he wasn't gonna lie that dancing was a small passion he had for a long time and this was his oportunity to show what he is capable off.

"Alright I'm in, I'll do it" Jake replied with determination looking at Ryder who had a small smile they then fist bump and walked back to where Marley was. Ryder felt bad to see her like this all nervous and couldn't do something about even if he wanted to, but he already promise to Jake that he was out of the 'chase' for Marley's affection.

'Ladies and gentlemen please welcome on stage, the National Champions. The New Directions' the announcer said in the auditórium and now everyone was ready and Marley was almost terrified, the moment had arrived it was now or never.
