KING REMUS POV

After immediately changing into our original mermaid forms we rushed in the direction where Finn ran. We could easily track him due to the device on his ankle, which was attached to prisoners with a death sentence. After all no one is supposed to survive the match against trained army personnel.

I looked back at Kieran and Rowan who were significantly slower since they were giving out orders while swearing. Magnus was crying and fiddling with his controller at the same time. Alistair on the other hand seemed to have this numb look on his face, his eyes were scarily blank. All our majesty as grand King's down the drain in one single night.

'I might not be looking much better either.'

Hastening towards the signals as directed by Magnus we soon realised where it was leading us to. 

"...? Lovianian Ancestry Hall"

"Hah"

I watched Rowan laugh self depreciatingly. 

The Zorions were planning everything in such a stupidly open place, yet we all were blinded. It was as if even our planet didn't matter after our merione's death. We were spiralling into a trap, forgetting our purpose, our oath, when we became the kings. Our very selves.

'How stupid have we become?'

The sound of a sweet melody pulled me out of my reverie making me freeze. I turn wide eyed to face my brothers. Watching their stunned faces I realised that we were all thinking the same thing.

'that's our merione!'

We were constantly moving at the fastest speeds possible as our heads were churning with the same thoughts.

'..Our merione was supposed to be dead. There is no concept of a second merione, it made 0 sense, so why were we getting signals for a merione?'

"...could this be a trap?"

I turned to Alistair who had calmed down and was analysing the situation calmly. I nodded in agreement.

"Possibly."

At the discussion Rowan nodded at us then jerked his head towards the source of the sound. 

"Let's proceed with utmost caution, no more unnecessary thoughts focus on suppressing the situation first."

Everyone nodded in agreement. Rowan's calm and steady words had already steadied us much. All that was left was to find out the crux of the situation. 

AURORA's POV

I huffed and looked down at my trembling hands.

Breaking out of the palace had used up most of her sonaric waves but it was a relief. 

'It's been hard, pretending to be a Finn and Kina.'

I sighed, when I thought of all the trouble I had to uptake.

'But it's all worth it.'

I smiled looking at my brother who was currently activating a very ancient glasub. We would soon be leaving through it.  To be honest, I knew that my troubles haven't ended yet, after all it will be a whole different level of fighting once we reach for Zorion.

But I couldn't let my sister's sacrifice go to waste.

'We need to get Zorion back.'

Looking in one particular direction, I could feel a numbing sensation constantly alarming me of my Merione, but right now I couldn't care less.
