It was another stressful day of work. She was sick and needs rest, but she has to go to work. She was waiting for someone at the cafe yesterday, hoping he will come back and visit her, but who was she kidding? He is already in Yorknew, so she decided to leave. After she received the letter, it rained and she did not have any umbrella with her, when she arrived at her apartment, she was already soaked by the rain. She sneezed again and again, and her co-workers were actually concerned about her.

"I think you should get some rest." her co-worker also her friend, Biscuit asked. Biscuit may look weak, but that girl studies martial arts and can beat any weird thugs out there. She was basically (y/n)'s protector. One time,(y/n) felt like there is someone watching her, she felt that as soon as she left her apartment until she goes to work. If there was something strange, in the neighborhood. Who you gonna call?

There was really someone stalking (y/n) in the past, so she pleaded Biscuit to stay with her for the meantime and eventually, she found the stalker and beat the shit out of him. And the next time she passed that stalker dude, he could no longer use his limbs.

"I'm fine Bisky, I'll just have to finish this then I would get some rest right after." (y/n) replied. Biscuit nodded and went back to mind her own business

At this time, Kurapika is currently guarding Neon at a fancy party that only the rich people are invited to. He was just standing there watching Neon at a distance since he doesn't like it when it's crowded, but then some women couldn't keep their hands to themselves and started to flirt with anyone who they can see, including Kurapika.

"Hey boy. Such a handsome man like you should be enjoying at a party like this. Do you want to come with us? or do you want to come with me instead?" A woman said seductively while placing one of her hand at his chest and the other was holding a wine glass. The woman's friends cheered for her from behind, thinking that she's getting laid by this man who she is seducing with right now. The woman's hand made its way underneath his suit which made Kurapika off-guard

"I refuse." Kurapika backed and walked away immediately  to refrain from being touched by the unknown woman and just left her hanging. He searched for his fellow bodyguards who he can stay with. The woman was dumbfounded when he rejected her. "Tsk. what a turn off" she rolled her eyes and looked for another guy to flirt with

At last, Kurapika saw Melody at the corner of the room. He approached her "May I stay here for a while?" he asked. Melody hummed in reply. She noticed Kurapika's heartbeat was not at a normal pace, but his heartbeat doesn't indicate as rage either. His heartbeat was at complete annoyance.

"Is there something wrong?" She asked

"There was someone who was trying to flirt with me and touched me. I kind of got annoyed." 'But is it ok to think that I want (y/n) to be the one flirting with me instead? no I don't think so. I should stop myself from thinking these thoughts' He shook his head harshly to refrain himself, but that doesn't mean he will stop thinking about (y/n) 

Later on, Melody noticed Kurapika's odd behavior. He would smile like an idiot at random times, and she heard his heartbeat changed too, the pace of his heart was way far from annoyance. 'This heartbeat melody... only happens when someone have romantic feelings!'  Melody thought. She was surprised, she never knew someone who is rage-filled like Kurapika would have this kind of feelings. And she sworn that she saw a glimpse of a scarlet color at the rim of his eyes even though he was wearing his contacts.

"Kurapika, can I ask a question?" Kurapika was taken back to reality from his thoughts. "Sure. What is it?"

"Who is it you have feelings for?" Kurapika almost choked on his own saliva when Melody asked this

Someone who is oblivious to their own feelings like Kurapika answered: "What are you talking about? I like no one"
