Days later she had a sleepover in Kurapika's apartment, Pouf have been coughing non-stop. It was a Saturday and Y/N stayed at her home to accompany her pet. Pouf doesn't want to eat or drink and he shooks his head if his owner would offer him some.
Just right at 2 in the afternoon, she noticed her dog was coughing, very loud. Pouf coughed blood and her eyes waver in terror, "h-holy shit." Y/N whispered under her breath. She quickly covered the trembling animal with a blanket, carried him, and went outside of her apartment and making sure she brought her belongings with her
"Pouf do you have any idea why you're sick?" She asked while panting as she went to her car which was at the parking lot of the building, and obviously, she heard no reply as she was talking to an animal. All that was heard was the poor dog's heavy breathing.

As they arrived in the veterinary clinic, Y/N starts panicking. She doesn't know what in the world is happening, Pouf just starts coughing blood and now she arrived here, everything just seems so fast. She can't keep her head straight and before she knew it, she was already talking to the doctor about her beloved pet's condition.
Y/N wasn't actually listening nor does she understands what the doctor was saying, but something that the doctor said caught her off guard.
"I'm sorry, can you repeat that again?" She asked "Your dog has been poisoned. When I took an X-ray of him, I found an ant that contains poison. He must have ate this kind ant somewhere. We don't have a cure for this when our scientist are still searching for the origins of this ant." The doctor explained
Y/N felt like there was a knife that stabbed her heart. Her dog was not only her dog, but a companion that gave her happiness at all times, Pouf can be dramatic, but in all means she loves her dog. After hearing that statement from the doctor, she could literally have a breakdown anytime now.
"I'm sorry ma'am, I really am. Based on your dog's condition, he's gonna die soon. Anyone could be on the verge of dying if you would cough out blood, animals too." The doctor added. Y/N can't take all these anymore, she starts crying as she crouched to see Pouf on the eye level. The doctor muttered and apologized again as he left the room to give the lady and her dog a moment alone.
"P-pouf " she stuttered, she pets his head as they both quietly cried, as if the dog himself knew what was happening too. "I d-don't want you to l-leave" she cried even louder. Minutes later, Y/N noticed that the animal's eye lids are dropping, embracing the dog one last time until he's lifeless.
