the man tied to the pole no longer struggled against his restraints, unlike earlier, when he had been trying to escape the chains that kept him against the pole. his breathing became heavier, and less frequent. he had bruises and scratches scattered across his worn out body, and his clothes were stained with his own blood.
the man above him, dressed in an expensive suit, and his face concealed by a cloth mask decorated with small jewels, clicked his tongue in faux pity. the captive spat at his shiny shoes, earning him a harsh kick in the stomach. he coughed out thick red blood onto the floor, and his eyes refused to meet with the masked man.
"i'll say this one more time," the masked man began, kneeling down on one knee to the other man's level. "tell me where the diamonds are, and i'll let you go so we can pretend none of this ever happened."
"i'll never tell you where it is," hissed the man.
"okay, then let me rephrase myself," said the masked man, pulling out a frightening looking gun from his right pocket. he wiped it with a cloth, and shot a bullet against the wall near them. it made an evident mark, and suddenly, the other mans face was drained of all colour, and filled with fear.
"this baby right here shoots real bullets. do you still want to keep your mouth shut?" jay asked, and the restrained man knew his choice meant life or death. but he was loyal. and he promised his boss he would go down in death to protect him.
"i already said it before, i won't tell you. you can kill me if you want to but-"
the masked man grit his teeth.
"that can be arranged."
deafening gun shots rang through the wide space of the factory, before they eventually died down into a blood curling silence.
