The day after Taiyou found out about Nao's secret, Nao & his mom were in their house. Today was one of Nao's good days. He was helping his mom clean since he was feeling modivated to do that, which made his mom very happy. They were also listening to music while they were cleaning.

Eventually, a song Nao wrote started playing. His eyes widened a little. His mom didn't know that he wrote it so he kept on cleaning.

"You know, whoever wrote this song, he has a good singing voice, but he sounds like a middle schooler. Wouldn't he get more experience from studying? He could get a more well paying job," said Mrs. Tsukonose.

"I guess. Although, maybe he really likes singing & his parents support him enough to let him persue it."

"Maybe. Although if you were the one doing it, I would make you stop. You have so more potential. I'm just waiting for the day that that poor kid gets sucked into the world of drugs & beer."

"Mom, that's a little cruel, don't you think?"

"Maybe, but that is just how it is in that line of work. That's why I'm raising you to be able to get a good office job like your father."

    "Right. Thanks Mom."

    "Anytime sweetie~."

Nao now knew how his mom felt, & he was less than thrilled. He was also confused. Why would his mom let him listen to music if she didn't want him to turn out like the radio stars today? Isn't it the same for soft tennis?

After the two were done cleaning, Nao decited he should tell his mom.

"Hey, um, Mom. Can I tell you something, kinda important?"

"Of course sweetie! You can tell me anything!"

"Ok, um, so I kinda, wrote that song earier. Please don't be mad with me!"

Mrs. Tsukonose was as pale as a ghost when she heard that. She was also quirt for a good minute or two, which made Nao feel even worse.

After a couple of minutes, the woman said, "You what!"

That shook Nao down to his core. He knew his mom was pissed.

"You need to stop this right now! I don't want you to go down the path of dishonour & greed! I taught you to be someone respectable & a hard worker & I didn't teach you to be a bum! You're doing bum's work! I'm ordering you to stop right no-"

The yelling woman was cut off.

"I won't stop it! I have a whole crap ton of people who love what I do! You want me to prove it? Even my close friends support it! They support me more than my own mother! My own damn mother!"

By the time Nao ended that final sentence, he was practically sobbing because the realisation hit him. Even strangers supported him when his mother didn't. He eventually went to his room & flopped on his bed. His mom also went in to talk to him.

"Nao, you know that I don't support that line of work, so either drop it now or leave. Please, I can't handle having a child doing this."

    That made Nao's anger rise.

    "I'll leave then."

With that, his mom left the room angry as he packed up his belongings, only leaving a few things like some clothes or his fish pictures behind. As he was walking to the door, he passed his mom.

"I hope you know that when you walk out of that door, I expect you to never come back."

    "That's alright with me."
