Tony pov:
Could this get any worse?
My dad and I were at the Avengers building and my dad was arguing with Quill.
"Dad please be a little more mature..." Grace muttered.
"You're an adult dad, please act like it..." I muttered.
I knew that my mom would've said something like that and that was the reason why I said it.
Falcon and Drax sighed as they pulled our dads away from each other.
"Enough already. Be a little more mature in front of your kids!" Scarlet witch yelled.
"Where's mom anyways?" Grace asked and Quill sighed.
"Not important right now." he muttered and everyone looked at him.
"The girl has the right to know where her mother is." Dr. Strange said.
"Dad, what's going on?" Grace asked.
"I am groot." Groot said.
"Yea, that..." I muttered.
"You understand what he says?" my dad asked and I shrugged.
"So?"
"Grace, it's not important." Quill said.
"Yea dad, it is. Why are you lying to me? What's going on?"
"Nothing."
"So you're not gonna tell her that her mom is in the hospital?" Captain America said.
"My mom is what now?!" Grace said and she acctually used her powers on her dad.
"What the hell is going on?!"
She seemed pretty pissed and I grabbed her arm.
"Grace, come on. Please calm down..."
She looked at me and her anger faded.
She stopped using her powers and her dad looked at her.
"It's not serious. Your mom didn't want you to get worried." Quill said.
"That's a lie." Captain America said.
"Not helping!" Quill said.
"Dad, please be honest with me. What the hell is going on?" Grace said and she had tears in her eyes.
Quill sighed.
"Your mom is dying."
"What...?"
"I'm sorry but she didn't want you to see her like thta, weak and in pain."
"Finally the truth." Captain America said and Quill glared at him with anger.
Grace still had tears in her eyes and she ran off.
"Grace wait up!" I said and I followed her.
"You weren't gonna tell he rthat her mother was dying?!" I heared that someone shouted that, I thought it was rocket.

So yea, Grace and I sat by the lake. Her head on top of my shoulder and she was crying, which was pretty normal in this situation.
"I'm so sorry..." I muttered.
"I guess I know now how you must've felt."
I swallowed and I looked at Grace.
"What is it with moms and dying?"
"I have no idea..."
Then I got an idea.
"But she's still alive, right?"
"According to my dad, yes. Why?"
"Then what's stopping you from going to her? You still have the chance to say goodbye unlike I had."
Grace looked at me and her eyes were sparkling.
"You're a genius."
She stood up and looked at me.
"Could you... Come with me?"
"If that's what you want."
I stood up too and the two of us walked to our bikes and went on our way to the hospital.

Grace and I arrived and Grace looked at the lady behind the desk.
"Excuse me ma'am but is Gamora Quill here?"
"Room 32 on the second floor."
"Thanks."
So we went there as soon as possible and Gomara looked up.
"Grace, Tony? What are you two doing here?"
"I know that dad told me not to come because-"
But Grace didn't finish her sentace, realising that her da lied, again.
"Come here..." Gamora said and she hugged her daughter.
It was painfull to watch but Grace asked me to be there for her and I was.
"Are you even okay?" Grace asked.
"I'm better now that you're here."
"I love you mom."
"I love you too..."
Then I saw that Gamora shoved her hand towards Grace and opened it.
"Take it." Gamora said.
It was a small necklace and Grace put it on. a few seconds before Gamora died.
Grace was crying a lot and I tried to comfort her before we headded back.

Quill looked at Grace once we got back.
"Where did you get that?" he asked as he pointed to the necklace.
"Mom's gone." was all Grace said and Quill expression changed as Grace hugged him with tears in her eyes.
"You went to see her?"
"Yes..."
"She was waiting for you, Grace. She kept fighting because she wanted to see you. That's why I didn't want you to go to her, because Mabey, just Mabey she would've survived..."
Grace looked at her dad.
"So it's my fault she's gone..."
"No. That's not what I said!"
"But it's what you meant!"
"Enough! It's nobody's fault!" my dad said and Quill looked at him.
"Mind your own buisness."
"Quill, I know what it's like to lose a wife."
"Not what it's like to lose her twice."
"Acctually I do!"
Then Quill looked at my dad and I could se that he felt bad before he left.
"Dad where are you going?" Grace asked but we already heared his car and Grace was basically crumbling from the inside.
The only other people who were still at the Avengers building were my dad, Rocket, Groot and I.
I looked at Grace.
"Are you okay?"
"He just abadoned me..." Grace muttered.
"You're not alone. Come home with us. Okay?" my dad said and Grace nodded.
"I am groot!" Groot said.
"My thoughts." Rocket and I said at the same time.
"What did he say?" Grace asked.
"You're dad's a jerk."

So yea, next day was a bit uncomfortable...
I did what Grace told me and I had the holomask left at home.
Grace looked at me when she saw me and she smiled a bit.
"So you can listen?"
"Funny..."
"You're nervous?"
"Well let's say I'm an easy target now."
"Come on, you don't want to be defeated by a gril. Do you?"
"Are you trying to motivate me to stand up for myself?"
"Is it working?"
"I don't know. I just want that people stop judging me of the fact that I'm a loser... That wasn't really helping..."
"I know what you need."
"What?"
"A little boost."
"I'm not sure if I follow."
"Meet me later okay?"
"Can I know where?"
"The place where the two of us can be without our dad's being there like police guards."
She walked away and I sighed.
"And where the hell is that...?" I muttered.

Then I realised that she meant the lake.
"Have your heared anything of your dad yet?" I asked and she looked at me.
"No..."
"I'm sorry."
"It's okay..."
"So what were you talking about earlier?"
"Do you trust me?"
"Yes, but you cause a little doubt by asking it like that."
"Funny."
The two of us grinned softly.
"Come with me."
"Where are we going?"
"You'll see."
