I slowly woke up in realization that today would be the day Bucky would leave me. I turned to look at him and I met his Icy blue eyes with my warm amber eyes. I could see the pain in his eyes, he didn't want to leave me. But he had to. I helped him pack his bags and we set off. When we got there I gave him a tight hug and a kiss before he had to get going. I held back tears as I watched him walk away. I held onto the locket he gave me so I wouldn't feel alone.

Steve had meet up with me at Bucky's favorite diner. We ate some lunch and walked back to my place. Steve still hadn't seen it but he agreed to come help me pack my stuff for Europe when I leave with Mr. Stark. Over the next couple days me and Steve spent all the time we could together before he had to leave and I had to meet up with Mr. Stark.

When Steve had to leave I was very upset, even though I was leaving the next day. I went to bed and woke up very excited to start my new job. I met up with Mr. Stark and we headed off. We got to base and the first thing I notice is Steve standing in line with his other recruits. He was in some sort of project that I would be helping with.

Mr. Stark told me my main job for now would be to assist Dr. Erskine these couple weeks as we decide who would be the best fit for the project. They didn't tell me. They refused to. They told me I would know when they figured out the soldier they choose.

"Recruits, Attention!" I was drawn out of my thoughts as I heard another women yelling. " Gentlemen, my name is Agent carter. I will be supervising your induction today." she said as she handed out some papers and clipboards. " To begin with, I shall need you to complete this document."

I watched Steve look down at his document. He didn't look fazed. However the two men next to him looked nervous. Almost like they were going to throw up.

Another guy grumbles as he takes his papers and says "What's with the accent, Queen Victoria? I thought I was signing up for the U.S. Army."

"What's your name, soldier? she snapped.

"Gilmore Hodge, your majesty." he said being very sassy.

"Step forward, Hodge." she snapped once again. He follows her order and she indicates where he should stand.

"Right leg forward, arms like so." she says as she puts her arms in a fighting stance.

"We gonna hassle? Cause I got a few moves I know you'll like" Hodge says as he winks at her.

Agent Cater puts her right foot forward as well. She punches him square in the nose and he falls to the ground, eyes watering and a trickle of blood coming from one nostril. the other men giggle. I looked towards Steve and he looked very pleased. I look at Agent Carter as she looks at me. I gave her a thumbs up and she giggled slightly.

"Agent Carter!" I was pulled from looking at her to a man that was standing next to me and Dr. Erskine . The soldiers jump to attention. Dr. Erskine urged me to follow as he followed the other man.

"Colonel Phillips" Agent carter says.

" I see you're breaking in the candidates. That's good" he looked away from Mrs. Carter and looked towards Hodge, who was still on the ground. "You. Get over there in that line and stand at attention until somebody tells you what to do."

Hodge quickly jumps up and scurried back into line and stood at attention. Colonel Phillips stood before the men. "General Patton has said that 'Wars are fought with weapons and won by men." Phillips turn and looks at Steve. He turns and scowls at Dr. Erskine. "We're going to win this war because we have the best men... And because they are going to get better. Much better.

After their day training they are sent to their bunks to put there stuff away. Colonel Phillips would drop by periodically and talk to them more.

"The Strategic Scientific Reserve is Allied effort, made up of the best minds in the free world." Colonel Phillips said and then walked out of their bunks.

As they were going through an obstacle course Colonel Phillips went to say more. But first looking at Steve struggling to keep pace. the recruits scrambled up a cargo net. I watched as Steve's foot got tangled. Hodge climbs over him, smashing Steve's face under his boot. From an observation platform I winced as I watched him slowly get back up Dr. Erskine also watched as Steve grimaces but got up slowly.

"Our goal is to create the finest army in history, But every army starts with one man." Colonel Phillips said as he watched Steve struggle.

Agent Carter. Who has now become a close friend of mine, checked her stopwatch as she waited for everyone to get through the obstacle course. they were crawling through some mud under a barbed-wire net.

"By the end of this week, we will have chosen that man." Colonel Phillips said. It felt like he was taking all week to finish his speech.

Hodge kicks out one of the support beams. I watched as the barbed wire fell on Steve. I winced at it hitting his arm.

"He's going to be the first of a new bread of Super soldiers. And they are personally going to escort Adolf Hitler to the gates of hell. He will be the first of the Super Soldier breed. And together they're going to bring a quick end to this damn war." Colonel Phillips said as Steve finally finished his obstacle course run.

he would have to wake up again tomorrow and go through another day of hell. Being judged by everyone except. Agent Carter who now lets me call her Peggy, Dr. Erskine, and myself.
