"Why are you here. Rose you promised me you'd be safe." Bucky said in a stern tone.

"So that assistant job with Stark was just a interview to choose a woman for the Super-Soldier serum that Steve took, I was just an experiment." I said. I hadn't said much sense we left camp. That was ok. It kept me focused.

"So what's super soldier about you?" Bucky asked.

"Fastened speed, super strength, super healing, my scars turn weird colors and my hair does this weird thing when I run." I said. Bucky looked surprised. He looked me up in down in my Lady Victory outfit. He leaned in and gave me a kiss, something I had wanted for a long time. We walked back to the group and once again I went silent. We headed on our way back, the transponder had broken.

"Why is she being so quiet?" Steve asked.

"I'm not sure. Maybe she was just scared?" Bucky said.

"No, she wasn't scared. She basically blew the outside to hell." Dum Dum chimed in. I walked slightly behind the group. I had been hit by what I thought was one of the weapons and it wasn't healing. I didn't show any pain so I just kept walking. We walked all through the day and night, people were getting tired so we set up camp for the next day.

I bunked with Steve, Bucky, Dum Dum, Jones and their friends. I walked out and sat at the front of the tent. "Doll, what's wrong? You've barley said a word."  Bucky said. I couldn't hide it from him, he knew something was wrong. I lifted up my hand from the side of my stomach to reveal the cut. Bucky looked at me with worry. "Oh my, Rose. Why didn't you tell anyone?"

"I'm fine Buck. The healing just isn't as fast as I thought it was." I said as I leaned my head on his shoulder.

"Get a room." Steve said as he walked out of one of the tent's we had found at Hydra.

Steve sat down next to us and I quickly covered the side of my stomach back up and whispered into Bucky's ear "Please don't tell anyone." softly he answered back before Steve could tell what was going on. He promised he wouldn't tell anyone.

We went back into the tent and laid down. I was in the middle of Bucky and Steve. Bucky told the guys I didn't talk much from bad experiences, they believed him. As the guys all talked I leaned over to Bucky and whispered into his ear "I'm going to bed. I love you." I had been aching to say those words to him.

He leaned in whispered into my ear "Ok, I love you to doll. You don't even knew how much I missed you." after he said that he gave me a kiss. I laid my head down and after awhile I had fallen asleep.

When I had woken up the cut was still not healed, It worried me. But when I had slightly lifted my shirt I had found out why, there was a piece of shrapnel from one of the bombs I had let loose, not from being hit by one of the weapons. I went to pull it out but one of the men had walked in when I was about to.

I tried to stop him from going to get Bucky and Steve but it was to late, Bucky was already at the tent staring at the shrapnel that was stuck in my side.

"Buck, calm down. I'm going to get it out." I said as I started to grab at the shrapnel.

"No, don't. it's just gonna make it worse. It'll get infected if you don't have the proper equipment." Bucky had said causing me to stop.

He grabbed me and took me to Steve. He showed Steve what was wrong and Steve quickly made everyone pack up and head out. I walked up in the front with Steve and Bucky.  I leaned over to Bucky whispering but making sure it was only loud enough for him to hear. "You promised." I said with a little bit of heartbreak in my voice.

"Doll, it was just gonna get worse if we sat here all week. I needed a reason to get the men moving for you and this was it." He said reassuring me he did it out of good nature. I leaned onto him. It was just getting worse, After about 2 or 3 days we had made it back to camp.

Everyone had started running towards the edge of camp when they had seen me and Steve. We heard cheering and it seemed to stop any conversations people were having.  We kept walking forward as more people kept walking towards us. But my gaze fell to Peggy. She dropped a sigh of relief seeing that we were finally back.

We walked right through the front gates of camp and settled in the middle. We came to a stop right in front of Colonel Phillips. Steve stood at attention while I gave him a weird look.

"Some of these me need medical attention. Especially her." He said pointing at me.

"I'm fine, the men need it more." I said

"Ah, she talks." Dum Dum said. I glared at him. He stumbled back from a little bit of fear.

"I'd like to surrender myself for disciplinary action. Just leave her out of it. It was my idea, I dragged her along and she got hurt." Steve said, this time it was only his decision.

"I told you. I'm fine Steve." I said as I glared at him.

"That won't be necessary." Phillips said as he looked over at me. He could see my pain. I tried to hide it.

"Yes, Sir" Steve said.

"Faith, huh?" Phillips said as he walked past Peggy.

Peggy walked up to us "You're late" she said as she looked at me and Steve.

"Couldn't call my ride." Steve said.

I was caught off guard by a screaming Bucky. I flinched slightly. "Hey!" he said while looking back to me and Steve "Let's hear it for Captain America and Lady Victory." Everyone exploded into applause. Bucky looked to me and gave me a kiss. The cheers went louder.

Bucky had moved his arm ever so slightly grazing my wound. As it grazed over my body I closed my eyes trying not to wince in pain. he saw the reaction. He knew he had touched it. He looked over at Steve and Steve returned the worried glance.

"I'm taking you to the medic." Bucky said.

"Buck, I'm fine." I lied.

"No. Let's go." he said in a stern tone. I listened. I knew he was right. We walked away from the group towards the medic stand. Bucky put me down.

"What's wrong with this one?" the medic asked Bucky.

"Show him doll." Bucky said. The medic turned his attention to me. I pulled the side of my shirt up that was covering the wound. He looked astonished.

"I can pull that out, let me go get the plyers." the medic said as he walked toward the supply cabinet. "It'll hurt. I can't lie about that." the medic said as he stopped in front of me.

I laid down on my side so the medic could get a proper look at it. He put the plyers into my wound and slowly grabbed the shrapnel. He pulled it out. He was right, it hurt. He took it our and started to put stitches in. "I can do this part." I said.

He backed off after handing me the needle, thread, and scissors. Once again I was patching my self up. It happened way to often. But know I had Bucky back, my heart slowly sewed it self back together.
