It was obvious. You didn't know why he tried so hard to hide it. Everyone was going to find out sooner or later, why didn't he just say the truth.
Maybe, if he confirmed it, you could finally get your own closure and move on.
Even his teammates had asked him multiple times if something was going on with him and Daisy. Every single time he said no. You guys were like strangers. He avoided your gaze. Rarely ever talked to you anymore. He didn't text, or hung out with you outside of practice.
"I'm going to go get water, to prepare some drinks for the boys." You said and walked out of the gym.
Walking back with a few bottles in hand, you see Daisy at the front step of the door talking to Kageyama. You approach the both of them.
"Excuse me" You say, trying to get through.
"Oh, I'm sorry" Daisy says and she moves to the side. Kageyama's eyes drop to the ground as you notice their hands intertwined together. "Y/n, you're the team manager?"
"I'm one of them" You stop in your tracks to answer her question.
"I didn't know that. I haven't seen you around in while, how's everything?"
She was simply trying to be nice. It just pissed you off more. A mix of anger, sadness, and jealousy builds up. "Yeah, it's been kind of hectic around so I've been busy. I'm sorry but if you excuse me, I have to go tend to the guys before they go back to practice" You smile and she nods.
Your hand comes into his field of view. Holding the yellow bottle in your hand. He looks up, takes the bottle and quietly thanks you for it. You could feel the eyes on you. The eyes of the rest of the team. You walk away, more like speed walk away. You couldn't deal with everything. All these feelings had been building up inside you for so long. You wanted to break down right there.
But you didn't.
You weren't one to cry easily. You bottle your emotions in. It was hard to get you to open up. Violet was one of the only people to ever truly know what goes on inside your head. You look down at your feet for a second, trying to keep your composure.
The team silently watches you. It didn't take much of watching you guys and realize that you had feelings for him. They always knew, they would always tease the both of you. You look back up, taking a deep breath in and out. You put a smile on your face and turn to the team.
"Shouldn't you big idiots get back to practice?" the guys smile at you, happy to see that you don't let things like these bring you down so easily. After all, you were their precious manager and they wouldn't like to see you sad.
"She's right, what are you guys doing slacking off?" Daichi loudly speaks out. His deep voice alarms everyone and the guys quickly walk back to the court to keep practicing.
after a few more hours, you all get ready to head out. It had been a long day for you. You wouldn't be surprised if you burst out in tears the moment you arrive home.
'Y/n!" You hear the familiar voice behind you. You turn around.
It took all the courage in him to call out your name.
"what's up"
"Are you okay? you seem down lately, you know you can talk to me about anything" Part of you was mad at him. He ignores you for so long and out of nowhere comes up to you like nothing's happened.
"Thanks tobio, I'm okay." You say and turn around, ready to walk away.
"You shouldn't walk by yourself, the sun is going set pretty soon"
"I always walk by myself"
"Yeah, but we stayed a bit later today, why don't you join us? I live close to you"
'us' of course it would be the both of them. How could it not. Just as you were going to reject his offer, Daisy pops up from behind him.
"Y/n! Hi again!!" She says with a cheerful smile on her face. "You're coming with us right?" You hesitate before answering. "Come on let's go !" she says and pulls the both of you.
