The different colored lights that were flashing all around the room didn't even allow you to fully see his face.
but somehow... you always seemed to get lost in his blue eyes.
People making out around the house, some were going for their 10th shot of the night. Others dance, and jump around with the music.
You sat on his lap staring at his face. It wasn't anything new to him. You were usually very affectionate towards him. But this was different. Even someone whose thoughts only revolve around volleyball like him and was completely oblivious to the obvious hints you'd throw at him could tell that the look you gave him was much different. He stared at your face. Tracing your features with his eyes.
I want to kiss you so bad
The only thought that ran through his head at that moment. Just as he was deciding whether it'd be a good idea to do it and possibly risk your friendship, you closed the space between the both of you. He could smell the alcohol on your breath. Which was the only reason he could come up with, as to why you were doing this.
The flashback runs through your head time and time again. You couldn't think about anything else. Especially as you saw how close they got in a matter of a few weeks.
Some days after you met Daisy, Kageyama told you that they were childhood friends and she moved to another place. Apparently she's back for a couple months, maybe years. You didn't have a problem with it, she was very nice when you met her and she seemed sweet.
but oh, how you wanted her to trip on air and fall on her pretty face. or scrape her knee on the way home.
You quickly dismiss any bad thought about her. Feeling guilty about feeling this way towards someone so sweet. She had done nothing wrong. This was just your personal feelings getting in the way.
Despite your tough and intimidating appearance, you were really kind, you could never wish anything bad on someone. As much as you wanted to.
"Hey, l/n-san, are you okay?" A voice brings you back from your own world. You look up to see Hinata smiling at you.
"I'm fine Shoyou, I told you to stop with the formality, you can call me by my first name" You smile and quickly put your hand on his shoulder as you run towards Yachi to help her pass out water bottles to the tired volleyball club members. They all thank you.
"Tobio, I was wondering if you were busy later, maybe we could hang out?"
"Um," He takes a sip out of his water. "I'm sorry, I don't think I can. I made plans with Daisy."
"Yeah that fine. Let me know when you're free okay? I haven't hung out with you in forever" He nods.
"I know, I'm sorry stoopid" he drags the 'o' out, you smile at the sound of your nickname again.
"idiot" You say and he pats your head as he walks back to court to practice his serves.

"The pretty girl that recently transferred seems to be awfully close to Kageyama." You hear whispers in class. This is all everyone talks about lately. Especially after seeing her hold onto his arm while walking through the halls.
You put your head on your desk. Day by day, they seem to find a way to rip your heart out of your chest.
Weeks and weeks pass and they only seem to be getting closer. You watch as your best friend is being stolen from you. After all, she's the perfect girl. It would've been surprising if he didn't fall head over heels for her.
With your head still against the desk. A tear seems to escape your eye. You wipe it away quickly and rush to the restrooms.
You look in the mirror with your red, teary eyes. You smile, poking your cheeks softly with your fingers.
If only
You stare at your messy h/c hair strands for a few seconds. You weren't one to wake up and get ready in the morning.
If only
You look down at your body. Pulling slightly on your vest, enough so it hugs your slight curves. You were one of the best looking girls in class, many girls envied your body, your face, the way you were always able to look so astonishing even without trying.
you never understood why, you looked in the mirror and only pointed out your flaws, you were never able to see the true beauty that people seemed to talk about.
especially now, you believed you could never compare to her beauty.
If only you had her beauty, you'd be holding the guy you're in love with in your arms.
You walk out of the restrooms, with the same thought running through your head. You head back to class and take a seat on a desk around the back corner. Not wanting to speak to anyone, or wanting to hear about anything. You look to your side, he sits a few desks away. You couldn't help but stare.
