Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Kimberly. She was taken for the annual sickness test. There, the scientists discovered that Kimberly had a special feature that no other human had.

One thousand years ago, Barack Obama was still president. Without the country knowing, he exiled a small family to a tiny island country that wasn't on any map. Even though it was a "country", it was uninhabited; it had no leaders and no people. No one ever found out why it was even a country to begin with.

It was a harsh place and there was no fresh water. It seemed impossible to survive even for a second, but somehow, the small family did. But not very long, twenty years at most. Recent history books 1,000 years from then say the entire family and all living relatives (including second-cousins and stuff like that) were wiped out.

But there was actually no solid and actual evidence.

I know what you're thinking: "Oh, there was a surviving person in their blood-line, it was Kimberly!"

        Yeah, well, you're wrong.

What actually happened was no one knew about what had happened. But one thousand years later, Kimberly's mother found this island. This was the first time anyone ever heard of it after a long time. There, Kimberly's mother found the bones of the family, and took it back to her lab. Now would be a good time to mention her mom is a scientist.

Anyways, her mother scanned the bones with some fancy machine of hers (remember, it's 1,000 years from now; it's like the year 3000).

"Wow!" Kimberly's mother yelled in disbelief. "These are about one thousand years old!"

"Mom?" Kimberly asked. "What did you find?"

"I went to this new island that we just discovered. It's strange how nobody found it befor. Even a long time ago, people had things that should have let them find out about this island."

        "But they didn't?"

"Probably because of it's size. It is very small, about that size of a district in a city of a state."

Kimberly sized it up in her head. "That is pretty small."

"Yes, well, what I found on this island is bones. They belonged to humans! But it seemed that they only lasted for twenty years."

Now, these days, people lived up to the age of two hundred fifty, using genetic editing. People could survive the harshest of diseases and could also have "superpowers" like super speed or sensitive hearing.

        "So short?"

"Back then, people couldn't handle much as we can today." Kimberly's mother nodded. "They were much more.....natural."

Kimberly widened her big teal eyes. "What are you going to do about the island."

Her mother smiled. "Well, since I found it, I get to be the owner of it!"

"Really!?" Kimberly's bright eyes widened more.

"Yeah! And guess what else. I'm letting you name it."

Kimberly frowned now. "What am I supposed to name an island?"

"I don't know. Just name it whatever you want."

Kimberly thought and thought and thought. During dinner, Kimberly finally came up with the name. "I want to name it the Island of Clarissa."

"After me?" her mom asked. Clarissa was her name.

"Yeah, you are the one who found it after all."

        "Aw, thank you so much!"

       AND THAT'S A WRAP!
