WHORES

IM BACK.

okay anyways... enjoy another snazzy chapter of LUX 😍😍😍

I slowly wake up, thoughts from the Florida trip fill my head. I open one eye, remembering I have school.. I sigh, dreading the day ahead of me. After my encounter with Zoe, I'm not sure if she'll ever come around....

I wipe my eyes, lazily getting out of bed. I shuffle out of my room and down the stairs, bringing myself into the kitchen.

Father was sitting in his usual cafe-looking chair, reading the newspaper quite thoroughly.

"Good morning, Father." I say, hardly awake. I start up the Keurig and pull out a coffee pod.

"Morning.. anything new?" He asks, refusing to look up from the paper.

"Uhm.. nothing new." I reply, knowing I had something on my mind.

I miss Zoe...

I grab my marble mug from the cabinet and proceed to make my coffee. Once I finish, I walk back to my room, the mug in my left hand.

I set it on my vanity, quickly reviewing the several notifications I had received overnight.

(Disclaimer: this probably looks nothing like the other photos but I'm too lazy to find a different one soooo

I pick a selfie from a few days ago and post it on Instagram. I smile, positive comments coming through almost immediately.

I set my phone down and the side of my face, staring at my reflection in my vanity mirror. Tuesday has arrived, and I can't stand it.

I tie the laces of my shoes and grab my backpack. I make my way downstairs to see Griffin in the foyer on his phone. I approach him, tapping his shoulder.

"Tell mom and dad that I left for school, okay?" I begin, "bye, love you!" I yell as I close the door behind me, giving him no time to give me sly remarks or jokes. I walk out to the car, putting my backpack and coffee next to me.
