Niks POV:

My eyes just started to flicker open. I looked over to hopes bed to see that it was made and she was no where to be seen. She's probably off with her boyfriend who literally looks like a muppet. Speaking of dating Josie is supposed to be coming back from Europe and I couldn't wait to hear everything about her trip. I put it off and went back to bed.

I was kind of stirring in my sleep when I felt a warm touch on my neck. My hands flew up to my neck to see that nothing was there. I heard a giggle, and I knew who's it belonged to, I grabbed her and held her tight to me. "Hey babe." Josie said before kissing me. I finally opened my eyes and kissed her back before I wrapped my hands around her small waist to bring her closer to me. I started to get up to get ready for the day when she grabbed my wrist. My heart jumped with warmness. I looked at the Brunette girl. "What's wrong?" She asked me standing up. "Huh? Nothing nothings wrong." I was just realizing that I was drenched in sweat, it was another nightmare. "Ok whatever you say." She said releasing my wrist from her grasp.

I got up and brushed my teeth then I went and got in the shower. The heat started rising and soon the whole bathroom was humid. I started to think about my parents and uncles death. It's all your fault. It's all your fault. A voice screamed in my head. Then all the images of the nearly 53 people I killed. Most of them were vampires from my mother's death, one was a mortal, that mortal was declan. I didn't mean to kill him, he was kinda like the father figure for most of my life seeing as how my dad abandoned us in a way and how he was my moms boyfriend. I had to sit there and pray that he didn't die, it would've been all my fault. It turns out, he did die, and it was entirely because of me. He was what activated my werewolf curse. Me and Hope were there at the church. The anger from the hollow was building up inside of us and we released all of it on about 100 vampires. We didn't know that there was humans in a back room. We went there to see Declan alive but hurt. Then we also found a man under a book case dead, hopes eyes glowed yellow, she activated her curse. I remember scrambling to the clues less Declan. He was near death. Then I watched as he died before my eyes, but this time instead of the blue eyes watching him die it was replaced with yellow ones. I killed him. What if I hurt Josie? What if she hurt me?

I finally got out of the shower with a white towel wrapped around my waist. I walk out to see Josie on her phone scrolling through TikTok. She heard the door open and her eyes looked up at me, more so my bare abs. I chuckled "staring problem luv?" She looked back at my eyes "sorry..." "oh don't be sorry I take it as a compliment." She smiled. I walked over to my dresser and I could feel Josie eyes following me. I grabbed some black pants, socks and underwear, then an white vans shirt.

"So you'll never guess what today is." Josie said to me. "What is it?" "Today we have to go track down the urn" "Really? Where do they think it is? Are you going with?" I asked her. I started to pat my body dry then getting dressed. I put on my usual rings and chain. Josies eyes following my every move, I'm pretty sure I even caught her biting her lip. "Um yea. It's some place small I don't know exactly where." She said. "Sounds like fun. I bet Hope is going with you" I said grabbing her and placing her on my lap. "Knowing Hope she probably is. And knowing you... you need to protect her." Josie said chuckling. She was right but not only do I need to protect Hope but she also I thought. "Yea your right. But I need to protect you too." She stood up "God. Why doesn't Lizzie like you guys. It would be so much easier to not be co-dependant" I grabbed her wrist and turned her towards me. "If you don't want to be co-dependant all you got to do is just do what you want for a change. Just like this for example..." I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her on top of me before kissing her. She started kissing me back.

Time passed and I was walking down to the Alaric office with Hope. Josie was right Hope was going on the trip, and Niks was going also. "Emma and Dorian are coming with but they are driving separately since my van is a 6 seater. So come in let's go." Alaric ordered. "I get front." Hope told me. So I climbed in the very back compartment. Kaleb was riding shot gun. Lizzie told Josie that she was getting front so Josie agreed and got in the car back with Nik.
