I woke up the next day Hope was still pissed at me for what I said about Landon. I got up and got ready and walked into Alaric's office.

"Nik sit down. NOW!" Alaric ordered me

"Yes almighty Alaric."

"Explain what happened yesterday."

"I beat the shit out of vampires..."

"And why exactly?"

"They started it! Ask your daughter she watched the whole thing!"

"That's sounds like lizzie..."

"Not your bitch daughter the other one."

"Josie?! She wouldn't watch."

"Well she did."

"Ok ok point is, I need your blood and you guys have to go to Salvatore."Alaric sighed

"No!" Hope and I said at the same time.

"Ok what am I missing? Maybe you guys hate Landon and Josie?"

"No." Hope said

"Yes to hating Landon no to hating Josie." I followed after Hope.

"Explain." He ordered

"Landon and I-we were in love. True love, epic love if that even exists." Hope explained

"I can assure you it does." He sighed then looked at me, "what about you?"

"I was dating Josie." I said

"You and Josie?" He smiled as if I was joking

"I wasn't always this psychotic asshole." I shrugged.

Alaric narrowed his eyes but gave it up.

Then the officer that was flirting with Alaric the other day came in.

"You're dismissed I can put in a good word for you at the Salvatore school!" Alaric said but Hope and I were practically outside the door.

"Do you think Alaric is going to end up dating her?" I asked Hope

"Nah Alaric has a complicated love life." Hope said

"What do you mean?" I asked

"Isobel faked her death to become a vampire and leave him. Our father killed Jenna. Miranda was psycho. Jo was murdered on their wedding day by his soon to be brother in law."

"Ok I see what you mean... I bet he's going to have something with her though."

"10$" Hope said

"Deal."

We walked down the hall we were going to some pep rally thing idk. I turned down a hall to see raf about to kill Landon.

I just stood there but my sister came and saved the bird.

"How are you always in the right place at the right time?" Landon asked

"Funny I was just thinking the opposite." Hope said examining the unconscious wolf.
