It had been almost 2 days since Illumi was out in the garden...

2 days? was Illumi ever going to come back out again?

Maybe Hisoka should just give up...

He wasn't going to see Illumi again...

Hisoka hadn't eaten since he had last seen Illumi...

Hisoka stood up from the bush and began sulking... Feeling hungrier every second... he took two steps...

The voice cane from above... Hisoka looked up.

There, Illumi stood high up in a window, waving some sort of white cloth as to get Hisoka's attention... No... That was just the sleeve of his white Kimono... He was waving.

It finally dawned on Hisoka that Illumi only wore girl's clothes... why girls clothes?

Illumi went back inside, and seconds later, was already at the door to see Hisoka. Today, he was wearing a kimono... a blueish-greenish kimono with white sakura flowers...

Illumi smiled at Hisoka.

"I knew you'd be here..."

"Good morning Hisoka, I'm going down to the village... would you like to join me?" Illumi held out his hand.

Illumi goes to the village?... Hisoka had never seen him before... He had never seen him walk through the woods to get there...

and he goes all the time??

"umm... sure... should I take you there?" Hisoka wondered why he hadn't ever seen Illumi in the woods before...

Illumi walked away from the opening in the bushes... why??

"um... illumi, town's this way..." Hisoka pointed over his shoulder in the south direction towards the town...

"I know... I just go this way because thats the rules."

Illumi led Hisoka to a large hole in the ground... one with stone stairs...

an underground passageway?

"I go to town this way because my parents wont allow me to go overground. they say there's some weird demon that eats people... Of course, I don't believe it. It's just made up for kids so they dont sneak out at night... But I guess I've got to go this way to set an example for the little kids in town..."

Illumi was talking about Hisoka. No doubt about it.

Hisoka knew Illumi was safe, because Hisoka knew he would never hurt him.

"Yeah... I used to sneak out at night all the time when I was young... That rule means nothing." Hisoka said, casually.

"well then maybe we should just go above ground."

"yeah why no-"

Hisoka stopped and remembered all the half-eaten bodies he left, scattered around the woods...

"hm... well... maybe it would be best if we go underground... besides... I've never been underground..."

"Well I suppose that'll be a fun experience for you"

Hand in hand, the two of them walked the length of the passageway underground, all the way to the village. Hisokas stomach rumbled... Again, he hadn't eaten in 2 days...
