Business partners

tap... tap... tap... tap...

The two men walked down the long passageway after exiting the carriage, their wooden shoes tapping on the stone floor.

The sound echoed and reverberated, creating the illusion that they were in some cave...

"I've never once seen the village peoples act that way... A strange sight to see..." Illumi said, in a monotone as he walked with Hisoka.

"People always act that way around me. It really is quite strange..."

"It might be your threatening appearance. you look like the chinoakuma."

The two men shrugged it off...

They arrived in Illumi's garden. It was just as they had left it.

Hisoka was hungry... He feared Illumi might hear his stomach growling, begging to be fed.

Illumi heard it.

They looked at each other awkwardly...

"You hungry?" Illumi asked.

Hisoka nodded as his stomach let out another groan for food.

"It's ok, though, Illumi, I can get something for myself." Hisoka blurted. Illumi was already heading inside to get something... 

"Illumi" Hisoka called out, asking his new friend to wait. "It's alright. You don't have t-"

"Then when should we meet again?" Illumi stepped in Hisoka's direction, raising a soft delicate hand to caress his friend's sleek but rugged face. "I quite enjoy your company." 

"Hmm... So do I..." Hisoka closed his eyes and leaned into Illumi's delicate hand. There was some silence as the two men held each other, the sound of soft wind in the trees and singing crows being the only sounds present. 

"Illumi"  A voice echoed through the garden from inside the mansion. "Illumi could you come inside, it's getting cold"  Illumi's mother stood inside to usher him in. 

"I shall see you again, Hisoka."  Illumi turned and walked gracefully back inside, his kimono flowing in the gentle wind like plants in a calm ocean current. 

"Who is that?" Illumi's mother asked in a protective manner.

"A new business partner."
