After the boys got home they settled down listening too music after so many hours of listening too Joey sing "love me like you do"Shanes mom called and he had too go Shane was sad too go home but he also knew his mom wanted too talk too him he forgot about everything when he was with Joey he even forgot he even had a girlfriend and all the partying and sleepless nights his mother went through just too make sure he was okay. Shane walked out the door and across the road thinking about these things he knew his mom would be disappointed in him she only wanted the best for her son but what Shane wanted was up too him young or not he had the choice for it is his life his mom brought him in this world so he could live it and love him unconditionally even if he made stupid choices Shane knew that but Shane wanted too straighten up as he reached the house and opened the door he seen a lady about 50 setting on the couch with red hair and glasses be recognized this woman as his mom she looked at him and quickly wrapped her arms around him "I missed you" she said, "I missed you too" Shane said hugging his mother tighter Teresa pulled away with a smile that quickly faded into a serious look "we need too talk Shane Lee" Shane gulped at the sound of his mother calling him his middle name when he was a kid that always meant he was in trouble although this time was different he wasn't in trouble he was just worried of what his mother thought of him, Teresa lead the boy too sit down on the couch with her Shane felt like a little kid setting here with his mom. Teresa started too talk calmly and gentle "Shane I know you are in a rough spot right now what's wrong? Why did you pick that Lisa girl,you are obviously not attracted too her! And she has got you drinking and smoking what happened too my baby boy?" Shane sat in silence repeating the words his mom said in his head he started too speak " I don't know mom" he said Teresa started too speak but Shane spoke again "Lisa is a Bitch I don't want her I never did maybe when I first got her but she is gross and she cheats and she is mean she makes me drink" Shane started hugging his mother while sobbing into her shoulder pity filled Teresa's eyes Shane felt pathetic crying on his mom for crying out loud he was 16 but Teresa didn't care and at the time neither did Shane, "Break up with that girl Shanley" Shane looked at his mom with tear filled eyes and said "I will" he took out his phone dialed Lisa's number and put it on speaker phone "Hey Shane!! I was just about too call you babe! They are having a killer party somewhere near the grove later!!" Lisa announced excitedly, "Lisa I can't I think we need too break" Silence filled the room then Shane heard light sobs coming from the other side of the phone "I knew you would do this do me" Lisa screamed and hung up the phone but weights have been lifted off Shanes shoulder he felt relieved his mother was just as relieved they smiled at each other silently until Shane broke it "Thank you" Teresa smiled and kissed her son's head but the first thought that came too his mind he needed too call and tell Joey "Mom I'm going upstairs" Teresa nodded ans picked up a magazine while Shane walked too his room he dialed the Green eyed boys number "Hello?" A voice said on the other line eagerly "Hey!! Guess what?!?!" Shane basically screamed into the phone "Shane!! I have ears! But what?" Joey said laughing on the other line, "Lisa and I are done!!" Joey was happy excited confused and disappointed all at once, why? You may ask because Joey loved Shane and he couldn't have him because he's straight another reason is Shane is happy Joey is happy they have a weird connection you can call it chemistry "wha-" Before Joey could get his sentence out Shane interrupted him " I never loved her" Shane said in the most honest tone this is the part where Joey started smiling he was happy maybe he was so jealous of the blonde headed girl he didn't realize Shane actually never cared for her Joey is so in love with his best friend it's almost out of control "I just called too tell you meet me outside at 11 in the morning tomorrow goodnight Jo-bear I love you" Shane said, Joey was still smiling and blushing like crazy this one call made his night maybe even year "I love you too Shaney" Both boys hung up the phone Joey on his bed smiling thinking about how happy he is when he is near Shane, and Shane thinking about Joey does be like him? Does he love him? He will ignore the feeling "Goodnight" Shane said too himself while turning off the lamp beside him.

The next morning the boys met where they said they would Shane ran up too hug Joey as soon as he seen the boy he was holding him close the body contact was enough too feel the heat off each others bodies Joey put his head in the crook of Shanes neck Shane could feel the younger boy smile Shane pulled away from the hug and looked at Joey s bright Green eyes they stood there a minute studying each others thoughts until Shane broke the silence "Want too go too the park?" Shane asked while smiling Joey replied with a smile they started walking too the park suddenly Joey stopped Shane looked at him "What about my mom?" Joey said in a quiet tone Shane thought a minute and held Joey s hand reassuring him he would be okay they walked all the way too the park like this two boys holding hands there age is supposed too be "gross" but they didn't care the contact and the presence of each other was relaxing they got many states of people but neither boys cared what everyone else thought they are best friends it was silent until Joey spoke up "You are the best friend ever" he said looking at Shane, the word "friend" made Shane shiver he didn't want too be just friends even though he denied he was gay he was gayer than most maybe he wasn't just gay for anyone maybe he was gay for Joey because no other guy had ever made him feel the way Joey has and Joey makes him feel amazing "You too" Shane said smiling then just realized and screamed in his head "did I really just friend zone myself?!?!" They sat on a bench talking over the kids screaming and crying "Your hair is getting longer" Shane said as he put back a piece of stray hair from Joeys face something happened Joey didn't do often he blushed not over embarrassment but because of Shanes touch Shane noticed it was a new simple feeling for Joey " Yeah I know" Joey said laughing Shane smiled at the boy "We better get back home so you dont get caught" The older boy said Joey agreed and they walked back home hand in hand.
