For the next week or so I spend my time exploring the palace and going through all of Princess Azizi's, or my sister's, beauty products. She has rows and rows of colourful perfume bottles on her bathroom shelves and various racks of airy dresses in her closet. I assume her favourite perfume is susinum, as that scent is what makes up most of her perfume collection. I make sure to dab some on my throat and wrists every morning.

I also spent plenty of time with my fiancés, they're both quite pleasant but it still disgusts me to even think of marrying either one of them. One's my brother and the other's my cousin, either way I'm stuck in an incestuous marriage.

In my mind, I laugh at the stark contrast between the two men. Prince Osiris is wise and warm-hearted while Jabari is valiant but no smarter than the average bird that Mother Maat keeps as a pet.

Soon after this quiet but stressful fortnight, we are sent word on a papyrus scroll from Tau that the rebel-infested kingdom has been reclaimed and none were left alive. My father is overjoyed to hear it, then makes preparations for a grand banquet and gala in honour of the war goddess Sekhmet, who'd granted us victory.

In the next few days the palace is in chaos, everyone working hard to prepare for the victory party and to welcome home the brave soldiers who'd fought so valiantly.
