The next month of school gets better. Kind of.
For Xailendra's case, talking to people was easier.
Now that she's officially a theater kid, other students started approaching her (and usually, every once and a while, someone hits on her) and though it's a good thing, the attention from her classmates gets too much sometimes.
For Jesy, nothing really much has changed since last time. Her team is still not updating her, which surprisingly at this point is still expected since James from her team told her that communication issues will be a big problem because of the upcoming projects that her label is taking care of.
So up until now, she still doesn't have any news about the label. And the girls. And the music industry.
For all I know, the public found out that I own those damn things. Great.
She tries not to get swallowed by anxiety because if she went eight years not talking to the girls, she can go without not hearing any news about them, right?
Yeah. I guess I'm right.
For the both of them, both girls continued getting closer. They shared a lot of deep conversations and Jesy tells the younger girl some stories and experiences that she's had with the girls. Some of the stories that she told her are things that she already knew but only from her point of view. In both fangirl and as Jesy's friend position, she enjoyed the stories a lot.
One Sunday morning, as Jesy just finished her breakfast, she gets a call from none other than Xailendra. She washes her hands and pick up her phone and answers the call.
"Hey," Jesy says.
"Morning, Jes," The girl answered cheerfully. "Do you have anything going on tonight?"
"Well if you consider binge watching old TV shows an anything, well I mean, yeah." She joked.
"So.... it's my birthday and I have, like, three bottles of wine to drink and I need some adult supervision?" She explains and leaves the curly-haired woman confused.
"Wine? Aren't you underage, young lady?" She says in one of her accents.
"The legal drinking age in the Philippines is 18," She replies as a matter of factly. "And guess who just turned 18 today?"
"How come we've talked about you perception of the human race but I only found out when's your birthday the exact day that it is your birthday?" She laughs ridiculously.
"Trust me, I have no idea," The younger brunnette laughed back. "Is that a yes on supervising me or...?"
"Mhm, I guess that's a yes," She says. "Do I get to drink some too?"
"Duh, but we'll have to deal with the possible hangover that this might cause us tomorrow. No biggie, right?"
"Eh, it'll deal with it. I mean, I hope," Jesy replies.
"Oh! And by the way, you'll be tasting the brilliant cooking by yours truly," She brags. "It's a Fi'lo dish and it's amazing."
"Fi'lo? What does that mean?"
"Fi'lo as in short for Filipino. Just wait for tonight and you'll see," The girl says excitedly. "Anyways, I'll see you later. I'm gonna go shopping for the ingredients. I'll see you later?
"M'kay. See ya, kid." She said and ended the call.
One thing that Jesy feels around the younger girl is unusual. There's always a feeling of comfort and somewhat familiarity. It was like the green-eyed teen was a mixture of the band she once was a part of. Like how the girl only had one dimple on her cheek like Perrie (although Perrie's are far more deeper than Xailendra), or how she'd shrug off some situations like how Jade does it, and how she belts when she's singing at rehearsals like Leigh-Anne. It was confusing, how she felt familiarity with a person, a teen that she just met to the point that sometimes she needs to remind herself to always erase the puzzled expression she has on her face most of the times.
