"I've got all your necessities here," New said giving Tay a big suitcase.

"Are you sure you don't want to come with me?" Tay asked the umpteenth time.

"Even though I have changed my mind now, you don't have enough time to wait for me to get ready," New replied lightly.

"That's right, too".

"Take care of yourself, I will call you often," he said kissing New's forehead for quite a while.

"Because Nanon is still asleep, so please send my greetings," he continued.

"I'll tell him later."

"What do you want me to buy you when I get home?"

New shrugged his shoulders. "There's nothing I want."

"Nothing?" Tay made sure.

"I hope you return safely," pleaded New shortly.

"You're bragging right now," said Tay suspiciously.

"It's hope, Tay. You can come back all right, that's enough for me."

"Why are you nervous?"

"I don't know," replied New, not understanding his feelings.

Tay was silent for a moment.

"I will be back soon," he said trying to calm New.

"I will wait for you....."

"Don't put on a sad face like that again. You're making it impossible for me to leave you," protested Tay in displeasure.

"Okay, just go."

"You didn't give me a kiss?"

"My mood is not good," concluded New, turning his gaze in another direction.

"Turns out you just don't like it when I go on business trips."

Tay grabbed New's chin. "Am I right, Mr. New Vihokratana?"

"Maybe, I don't know the reason myself," New confirmed Tay's guess and didn't deny it one bit.

The corners of Tay's lips tucked up into a faint smile. "Looks like you started to like me, Hin...."

"Before leaving, daddy sent greetings to Nano," said New, smiling softly as he sat together in the dining room with Nanon.

Nano just nodded.

"Does daddy go on business trips often? N ew asked lightly.

"Nano doesn't know, Mopa. Because daddy never said goodbye to Nano," said Nanon quietly.

New is stunned. "Didn't daddy send greetings through the waiter?"

Nanon shook his head lightly.

"Never called Nano at all?"

Nanon shook his head again.

"Nano..." New carried Nanon's body into his arms. His heart ached with pain remembering that Nano was alone all this time.

"Don't be sad, Mopa. Nano is okay." Nanon said the return of New's hug.

New tightened his embrace, even more, when he felt his heart stabbed as if imagining Nanon's past.

Currently New and Nanon are on their way to school.

"How's it at school? Does Nano have fun?" New smiled at Nanon as he drove the car. Today he chose to drive himself because there was a place he wanted to go after taking Nanon to school.

"Nano likes school, Mopa. There Nano can play and meet lots of friends," he replied excitedly with a happy face.

Along the way, Nanon kept talking about his activities at school. It was New and Nanon's habit that they would talk about a lot of things when they had free time together. Because New wants to build deeper communication between mother and child. (* Here, I'm taking New as a mother figure) With the aim of Nanon growing into a more open child and not hesitating to exchange ideas with his parents. Because of that, he always supported Nanon in everything, listened to Nanon's heart, and asked little things like what Nanon like. For Nanon to feel valued and comfortable with him.

It didn't feel like the two of them had arrived in front of the school. New escorted Nanon to the classroom first as usual. However, after a few steps, Nanon met his new friends.

"Nano!" screamed one of the boys up to Nanon with joy.

"Let's go to class together," he asked, followed by his other friends.

Nanon looked up at New for permission.

New smiled sweetly as he nodded.

Nanon cheered and joined them as they waved at New.

New also waved at Nanon. He didn't immediately return to the car, but still looked at Nanon, who was chatting so coolly as he walked together into the school. New's heart was warm at the sight he had never seen before.

After staring at Nanon long enough until his figure disappeared, New then got back into the car.

Sometime later, New has arrived at his destination. He walked slowly towards one of the tombs he had not been to since he married Tay.

His gaze turned wistful. The feeling of tightness pressed New's chest as his steps got closer. He crouched down and placed a bouquet on top of the tomb.

"It turns out that you have been leaving me all this time...." quietly New holding the pain in his heart like being squeezed and pumped up.

"Now that I'm married... I also have a lovely son." New stopped as if his voice caught in his throat.

"As you wish, I'm happy..." New eyes were hot. "In any case, I must remain happy to fulfill my promise."

New burst into tears. He covered his face with both hands unable to endure the pain he felt.

"I miss you, Earth...."
