New walked to Nanon's room accompanied by one of the servants. After arriving at the door of the room, the maid bowed respectfully and excused herself.

New was silent for a moment in front of Nanon's room.

Of the many rooms, why did Tay have to give the room at the end of the hall to Nanon? Even though the room occupied by Nanon was quite far from the other rooms.

New pressed the door handle, then pushed gently. His gaze fixed on a small child who was sitting on the bed while eating the food that was on his thighs on a tray.

New came into the room smiling warmly at Nanon. Meanwhile, Nanon was silent and looked down when New approached him.

New sat on the edge of the bed and gently touched Nanon's shaking arm. "Don't be afraid, Nano. This is Mopa," he said in a voice that flowed so beautifully to Nanon's ears.

Nanon looked up at New doubtfully. "But mommy Nano is evil. Mommy often hurts Nano," he said with a sad look on his face and hurt eyes.

New was stunned to hear Nanon's words. There was bitterness in his tone, as well as deep sadness.

"The current mopa won't hurt Nano. Because mopa loves Nano," New said sincerely.

"Really?" Nano asked with sparkling eyes.

New nodded with a warm smile.

"Can Nano hug mopa?" Nanon asked hopefully.

New took the tray over Nanon's thigh and moved it onto the nightstand. Then he spread his hands wide." Come here, honey," he said cheerfully.

Suddenly Nano burst into New's arms with a cheerful expression.

New chuckled and held the tiny body affectionately while kissing the top of Nano's head. "Nano took medicine?" he asked when he sensed Nano's body temperature was quite high.

Nanon shook his head. " Nano has to eat before he takes his medicine, Mopa".

"Then, Mopa will feed Nano."

Nanon nodded enthusiastically with a happy face.

New took the plate on the tray, then began to feed Nanon painstakingly. Occasionally he also made jokes so that Nanon wouldn't get bored.

However, his gaze suddenly dimmed when he realized Nanon's body looked neglected. His face was pale, his hands were thin, his lips were wrinkled, even the bones in her body were so tight.

He wanted to give a lesson to Tay and people who could neglect children as cute as him. How did they have the heart to allow Nanon who was sick to eat his food and not take care of him? Even though Nanon's body is currently so fragile and weak.
