New touched Tay's arm to stop reading the fairy tale book to Nanon who had fallen asleep on his lap. "Nano is asleep," he said with a smile.

Tay glanced at Nanon, who was already fast asleep. "Ah, he slept very quickly," he said in surprise because he had recently been reading a fairy tale book to Nanon.

After placing the book on the nightstand, Tay moved Nanon into the middle of the bed to make it more comfortable.

"Isn't our leg cramped? Nanon has been on your thigh," asked Tay worriedly. Because even before going to bed, Nanon's head was already on New's thigh while having a light conversation about his activities at school.

"It's okay, I'm used to it," said New lightly.

"You should rest too, Tay. You must be very tired," he continued softly.

"New...?"

"Hmmm?"

"Thank you... for coming to my life and Nanon," said Tay sincerely as he looked deeply at New's eyes.

"You are like the sun to us," he continued in a low voice.

New paused to observe Tay's face which looked sad as usual.

A moment later, a smile was etched on New's lips. "You're too much, I'm not like that," he argued.

Tay shook his head. "You matter in my life, Hin. Even if one day you leave Nanon and me, I can't imagine how ruined our lives will be."

"Don't say that," said New in displeasure.

"I love you both, so of course I won't go."

Tay took New's hand and held it tightly. "I trust you... so please don't ever leave us."

New looked at New with a sad gaze.

I once felt like my world broke when someone precious in my life left. So, how could I do the same to both of you?

Maybe initially New had intended to run away and leave Tay when he found out that the man's character was very bad. However, after being together and spending time with Tay. Gradually, he began to feel comfortable and accustomed to Tay. Now New is no longer afraid of being close to this violent man, as well as his handsome husband.

"Now go to sleep," said New smiling warmly.

"Ah, I remember now, I've wanted to ask this for a long time, but I always forget, " said Tay.

New's forehead frowned. "What?"
"Before you married me, did you never date someone?"

"Why are you suddenly asking that?"

"I'm just curious because you were a virgin when we first hooked up."

New's gaze suddenly weakened. It was obvious that New didn't want to tell about it. Because it will make him remember someone from the past, as well as a wound that is definitely for him to treat.

"Did my question offend you?" asked Tay when he noticed the change in New's face.

"I won't force you to talk if you don't want to."

New turned to Tay with a wistful gaze. "I'll tell, but... this is going to hurt me," he said in a low voice.

Tay was silent for a moment as he looked at New.

"Don't tell me, let's pretend I never asked about it."

"But, I guess you should know, Tay." New looks straight at Tay's eyes.

"Aren't you off tomorrow?"

"I'm taking a few days off to rest," said Tay.

"Tomorrow I'll take you somewhere."

"Bye, Mopa. Bye, Dad" Nanon said cheerfully as he waved at Tay and New before entering the classroom.

Tay and New smiled, then returned a wave of Nanon's hand.

After Nanon walked into the classroom, the two of them walked toward the car quietly without anyone trying to speak. While on the way, they were both silent and busy with their thoughts.

A few moments later, Tay stopped the car when New asked him to stop.

"Funeral?" asked Tay, confused when he learned that the place New wanted to go to turned out to be a funeral.

"Come on down," said New quietly as he removed the seat belt, ignoring the questions currently occupying Tay's mind.

Tay comes down and follows New from behind. Until that time, New's steps stopped at one of the tombs that looked so well-groomed and clean.

New crouched down, then stared at the grave for a moment before finally, his gaze shifted to Tay who had also been crouching beside him.

"He's the reason why I've never been in a relationship with a single man," New whispered sadly as he touched the tombstone.

Tay glanced at the name on the tombstone.

Earth.....

"Looks like he means a lot to you," said Tay simply.

"Very." New did not intend to argue with that.

"How much does he mean to you?"

New's gaze turned towards Earth's grave sorrowfully. "He means too much to be equal to anything."

"Do you love him?" Tay asked with a look that was hard to explain

"I don't want to lie to you, Tay. To be honest, until now I still love him....," New whispered deeply.

Tay's heart throbbed with pain. There was a stifling piece tingling in his chest.

To date?

"Earth and I were friends when we were little. We played, went to school, and grew up together in the same environment. That's why we have a strong and inseparable inner bond. We both plan to get married when we grow up." New smiled bitterly. "Getting married, having kids, and living happily together. At least that's what I thought before the universe finally said differently."

"His condition is slowly getting worse because of the rare disease he suffered when we were in senior high school. The doctor said that his chances of recovery were very small. And it made me cry hysterically when I heard him. However, he always said if he would get well so we could fulfill our dreams together as a child. Because of that, he always asked me to smile and not have to worry about his condition getting worse and weaker. Until the time he left me for good with his promises that he will never be able to keep."

New covered his face with both hands to drown out the unbearable sound of crying.

Tay immediately took New into his arms with an expressionless expression. He hugged New's body tightly while rubbing New's trembling back.

"I'm confused about how to behave. On the one hand, I'm relieved, because he will no longer feel the pain that torments him all the time. But on the other hand, I am also angry, because until now I can not accept his departure."

Tay's gaze suddenly weakened. He closed his eyes deeply to endure the tightness that hit his chest. From the start, he shouldn't have to ask about anything related to New's past. So he wouldn't hurt when he learned painful facts if it turned out that there were still other names who stopped in New's heart.
