Chapter 5 - The Night With Draco

A/N: It's been 6 months of being at Hogwarts for Lydia, and the others. In a few months they're gonna be graduating to Year 2. Hope you enjoy!               

I wake up to the sunlight beaming through my window. I noticed Daphne was already getting ready for the day. It's been months of being at Hogwarts, and I'm still not used to waking up early. Daphne walks out dressed, and ready. She noticed I was up, and smiled. "Look who's up! Professor Dumbledore sent a letter. He told me to tell you to meet him at his office before breakfast." I nod at her, wondering what Dumbledore needed. I got up, and got ready to go to his office. Daphne asked if she could come alone. I thought about it, and said yes. If anything bad happened I would need her there with me. Along with Adrian. We became best friends just like Daphne said during the first day. I chuckled at the memory. I finished getting ready in my uniform, and made it out of the dorm along with Daphne. Adrian was sitting on the couch in the common room. He heard our footsteps from the stairs, and looked at us startled. "Where are you guys going breakfast hasn't started yet." He asks. I look at Daphne to see if she was going to reply. She didn't.

"Dumbledore said he wanted to meet with me. Would you mind joining me kind sir?" I said the last part elegantly. He chuckles then nods.  Here we are the trio of Slytherin. Well one of them. The other one was Draco, and his other two friends. I still didn't care about him at all. He's still a daft git. We walked to Dumbledore's office, and knocked I heard him say we could come in so I led my friends in. I looked at him then to his right noticing Draco was there. What was HE doing here!? Dumbledore gives me a small smile. "Good morning. Thank you for coming." He starts. "Let's get to the point why don't we?" He continues.

"Do you mind tutoring Draco? I'm afraid he hasn't been doing very well in classes. I understand it's almost the end of the year, but he just needs to pass the rest of the years' classes, and he free to graduate to second year." 

"But professor why her?" I heard Draco ask with a little bit of annoyance in his voice.

Draco has always insulted me since day one, so I wasn't surprised he was annoyed. 

"Because Draco she's the top of every class." 

"Of course sir I would be delighted to tutor Draco." I looked at him with bitter eyes, but still a smile on my face. I completely forgot about Daphne and Adrian. I looked back at them noticing them just as surprised at my answer. 

"Great to hear that Lydia. The first session is tonight. You are now dismissed." 

I turned around while Daphne reached for the door. I noticed Draco was following us out, but I couldn't care less about what he had to say. I followed Adrian out, and walked away. 

"I can't believe YOU are my tutor. How do you even have the best grades?" I heard Draco shout after me. I ignored his remark, and continued walking with my friends. We made it to the Great Hall, and saw that breakfast had already started. The three of us sat down and ate. I saw Draco come in and come towards me. "What time is the session." I heard the bitterness in his voice which made my quiet angry, but I ignored it. I couldn't let him get a hold of my temper. Every insult he said made me mad, but I was able to walk away before anything happened. "POTTER!" He snapped in my face. I came back from my thoughts. "7 pm. My dorm." I said, he nodded and left to his friends. Adrian knew about my temper, and so did Daphne that's why most of the time, if they notice I start to get really made, they have to walk me away. "Lydia! Come on we've got class." I got up, and followed Adrian to class. We made it Snape's class. I found myself enjoying his class. He was rather different. He was more fun, because of his attitude.  "Alright settle down class I'll be picking  partners for a project. Daphne with Pansy, Hermione with Ron, Adrian with Lydia, and Harry with Lavender-" "
