There was a body lifelessly lying on the ground. The head was detached from the rest of the body so Felix didn't need to ask anyone to know that it was one of his people. He went to stand above the dead body. To his left, it was the people of Beauchamp while on the right side was Jamaal's mother with about twenty of her own people.

"Can someone be kind enough to tell me what in the flippen damnation happened here?"

The truth was that the dead guy was actually the one who attacked first. Janette and his people had just walked in when he jumped at Janette, probably wanting to kill her, but Janette was not the Queen of Demons for no reason. She detached his head by simply tapping her fingers.

"What happened? Can't you see with your two fucking orbs that this witch here killed one of our own?" Felix knew that there was only one person who would say such a stupid thing and talk to him like that in front of everyone.

"Uncle Borris, may I remind you that I am your King and if you talk to me like that one more time, oh help me God." Felix said between his gritted teeth.

"Oh my apologies for the inconvenience Mr Marudas, however, this imbecile lying here attacked me first. And I'm sure all these people gathered around here witnessed that." Janette said with her devilish smile plastered on her face.

Felix looked around to see if anyone from the Beauchamps was going to come forward to affirm her allegations or throw it away but no one said anything, they just lowered their heads avoiding looking the King straight at his eyes.

"She's telling the truth." A low husky and imposing voice coming from the crowd answered. The guy pushed around until he came face to face with the King himself.

"Brother." Felix said with a genuine smile on his face. Of course, who had the fortitude and dauntlessness to look him directly in his eyes other than his one and only brother.

Lucas was Felix's half brother who was three years older than him. Felix's father had a child with a plebeian before meeting and marrying Mary. Because of his mother not having a royal blood, Lucas was casted aside and was called an abomination and a bastard child by Felix's family. His mother died from an illness when he was only ten. An illness his stepmother had the power to seek cure for, but never bothered to. His father actually loved and cared for him and his mother but after he was killed during the Great War, things had never been the same. Felix only tried reaching out to his brother after he turned eighteen but Lucas never gave him any chance.

Hate was putting it mildly. Lucas loathed Felix and his family. He had no one but himself, so he had to hustle, fend and take care of himself from the age of ten.

"Brother, it's so nice to see you. I haven't seen you in what... three years?" Felix was excited to see his only sibling that he even forgot what he went there to do, but just conversed with his brother in the middle of a crisis.

"Hello? Can we save the reunion for later because in case you didn't notice, there's a headless body lying here." Borris once again opened his mouth.

"I saw what happened and that lady over there is telling the truth."

"And why would we trust anything coming from someone like you?" Borris asked.

"The fuck you mean someone like me you insignificant little twit?" Lucas was ready to throw hands.

"Both of you please calm down. I believe you Lucas and please accept my apology Mrs Wang."

"You've got to be kidding me! She just killed one of our own and you're apologizing to her?" Borris's mouth was cut and recuperated a long time ago, so he said whatever he wanted to say.
