isang lalaking naka formal ang lumapit sakin na may hawak na bulaklak.

S:"Ano yan?"

JC:"Peace offering maybe?"

S:"For?"

JC:"For leaving you last time."

S:"Its okay JC, no need. Alis na ko I still have work."

JC:"work where? Bawi ako sayo, let's go to the mall, I need to buy some birthday stuffs for... A client."

S:"I can't. I have work nga."

JC:"Can I at least accompany you?"

S:"No need."

J:"what's wrong Nichole?"

S:"nothing. Just .. Just leave me. Take this flowers I don't need them anyway."

Then I left. oo, sinabi ko miss ko na siya pero nung nakita ko siya Ewan nainis ako. How come na nagagawa nyang magpakita sakin na ganun ganun lang sakanya. Like he's saying sorry because he have to, not because he means to. Hay why am I expecting nga naman ba.

6pm I left our house and went to work. As usual lakad lang, exercise din to.  Feeling ko pagod na pagod ako today. Pag pasok ko sa café nakaayos ito na parang may event, wala naman nasabi si ma'am sakin na may event ngayon ah.

Ma'am Niña:"oh you're here. The place have been rented for a mini birthday party by a CEO for his fiancé."

I just nodded. She asked me to stay in the kitchen to help our chefs.  Too bad I can't see the party, The girl is soooo lucky. Ugh surprises are my weaknesses. when will I experience those stuffs?

J:"wag mo titigan yang decorations matutunaw."

S:"Swerte nung babae no?"

J:"bakit?"

S:"Kasi nakahanap siya ng lalaki na

J:"Hi scar!"

S:"Hi john."

No energy to reply though. John is always energetic. He knows me well. I mean he's my almost best friend since I worked here. Such a jolly person. Half British sya. He can't speak Tagalog but he understands us.

J:"don't stare at those decorations they might melt."

S:"sorry, nakakainggit lang."

J:"those decorations?"

S;"No. Yung may magsusurprise sayo."

J:"My grades are always surprising."

S:"loko, I mean yung sweet.."

J:"Well I bet that girl's beautiful."

S:"of course! I bet the guy's head over heels with her. Swerte niya."

J:"swerte ka din naman ah."

S:"no I'm not."

J:"yes you are, because someone's head over heels with you... You just won't let yourself feel it."

S:"because All guys are the same."

J:"you never tried me Scar."

S:"silly John."

Then we started working. The surprise went on but I didn't see the gril's face because were so busy in the kitchen. I left the café around 12mn.

J:"let me walk you home"

I didn't bother to speak because I'm so tired. Then silence was so loud that night.

J:"Scar, we've been friends for years, why won't you let me in?"

S:"Because..."

J:"because you're afraid to get hurt. You never let anyone in. You built your walls to high for someone like us."

S:"John.."

J:"I know Scar."

He said with a smile. John is a nice guy, He never complained about my pointless dramas about JC back then. I never opened up to anyone. Not even john. I told him a quick synopsis but not everything.

S:"I loved him... And I still do. And now he's back I don't know what to feel. Mahal ko siya... Lahat ng feelings ko noon bumalik, pati lahat ng sakit."

J:"Scar don't cry."

S:"Yung iwan ka ng taong minahal mo ng sobra, napakasakit John. Kung mararamdaman ko ulit yung sakit na yun baka ikamatay ko na."

J:"Let me fix you Scarlette, please."

And that night I made a choice everyone will not understand... I...
