Battle-verse | episode 2: the power of change

Chapter 4: Change is the ultimate evil

Trapped in a cell with a bunch of people that I didnt really know, guess it all just comes full circle. I'm pacing back and forth while the others were either siting down or looking out the bars and window

Jake: perfect, just perfect, we've traded one mad man for another, and somehow it always ends up being a version of me

10th Doctor: but why though, what makes you so special

The doctor took something out of his pockets and shined it in my face

Jake: what are you doing? (Slaps the screw driver out of his hand)

10th doctor: this is a scientific Instrument, but it is also alot more than that

Jake 2: its true, it has multiple uses

Jake: yeah sure it has multiple uses, which is more than I can say for you. Speaking of which, what did you mean when you said you "made him up?"

Jake 2 scooted back in his chair

Jake 2: I was 12 years old I think? And I was so tired of things not going my way, people not doing what I wanted them to do, others I wanted to save, not getting one single happy ending, so in my Anger I created what I thought was a fictional evil version of me, I called him change, and he is the darkest thing I have ever thought of, the ultimate evil I nicknamed him, I never intended for him to Actually be real

Jake: so your saying this is all your fault

Jake 2: hey, at least I own up for my mistakes, come to think of it, when I was your age I was pretty selfish, thinking that the world revolves around you, insulting others just to make yourself feel supior, so if I am you, then how about you do me a huge favor and grow up

Jake: YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT I HAVE LOST, WHAT WE HAVE LOST, ALL OUR HOMES WERE DESTROYED AND WE WERE TRYING TO SAVE THEM, BUT NO WE END UP HERE OF ALL PLACES CAUSE YOU WOULDNT STOP BEING A KID, WELL I GOT NEWS YOU, ITS NOT ME WHO NEEDS TO GROW UP, ITS YOU

Jake 2: wow, was I ever this Arrogant

In that moment I snapped, grabbing Jake 2 by the collar of his jacket, and I dont know how or why, but my arms started glowing. Radiance intensified in my hands like they were going to overheat

Jake: oh you can talk all like an adult all you want, but lets see how mighty you feel when I rip your head off

10th doctor: alright alright alright, how about we not rip anyones head off and... oh

Jake: what?

If I had Noticed it earlier I would have freaked out, but after everything I've seen and done I was not suprised in the slightest. Flames came from my hands and arms that made holes in my Jacket, I stared into the fire and saw it again. My home being attacked by chrono soldiers, destruction and chaos everywhere, my mom dying at the hands of chronos. The fire went out and I sank to the floor, thinking about what I said and did

Jake: sorry, I dont know what came over me

Jake 2: Listen, I don't blame you (sits next to me) If I was in your position I would probably do the exact same thing. You're not the only one whos lost something, my dad died before I was born and my mom died giving birth to me and my sister so we had to live with our aunt and uncle, but one day when I was eight years old, someone broke into the house and killed my sister, right in front of my face, driving a spear right through her, I spent the rest of my life trying to crack the one thing that I thought could save her: time travel

Jake: let me guess, didn't quite work out?

Jake 2: hit the nail right on the head, but recent events have shown me that things that were once impossible are Possible, I mean I'm sitting here with a younger version of me and people I would have concedered impossible to meet

10th doctor: impossible only means you havent found a solution

Jake 2: well said doctor

Yang: yeah, real inspirational

Jesse: I dont think even ivor could have said any better himself

Jake: well then (gets up) I do believe that we get out of here and help you stop this change guy

I closed my eyes, focusing all my power into my left arm I successfully broke the  bars to our cell

Zarya: okay, now what?

Jake 2: right, Doctor you take the past version of Jesse and his friends and wipe their memories, the rest of us will stop change

10th Doctor: got it, lets go

Past Jesse: alright then, see ya, and im also gonna be ya

The doctor ran with the past Jesse and his friends

Jake: you are such a dork

Jesse: believe it or not that is not the first time i've heard that

Jake 2: ok guys, lets take change down
