What am I going to do

this is still in Eli's POV

As the sun set that night Maggie and I were still sitting on the floor. By this time she had fallen asleep in my arms. I didn't know practically anything about this girl, but I somehow felt so emotionally attached to her. As the room became pitch black I stood up, still holding Maggie close to me. There were some purple lights shinning from under a door so I assumed it was her room. I opened the door and placed her on the bed. For a moment she opened her eyes.

"Hey Eli."

"Hi, Maggie. It was getting dark so I brought you in here."

"Eli I hope this isn't weird, but can you stay with me?"

I felt my face turn completely red and my body get hot. Did she just ask me to sleep in her bed with her. I was obviously going to do it so that I could be there with her. But, I nodded yes and climbed into her bed. It was soft, and super cozy. I laid on my back and stared at the ceiling, glow in the dark stars covered the ceiling. I was suddenly snapped back to reality when something heavy flop on top of my body. I looked down and it was Maggie, laying on me. I put my arm around her and I stayed there staring at the ceiling. After I while I heard a soft snore, she looked so peaceful.

I must've fallen asleep at some point because I opened my eyes and it was morning, a bright light shown through the blinds. I looked up and Maggie was gone. I jumped up and flew out the door. Maggie was standing in her living room, I could tell she was crying again. I walked next to her and she had a note in her hand. She looked at me with tears running down her face and handed me the note

Magnolia, my sweet sweet Magnolia.

I love you so much honey. You are the most amazing young girl. You may be wondering what happened to me, and to our house. I can't tell you any of it. As much as I want too. I called the school and found out you have made friends and talked to your friend Tessa. She said you can go stay with her. Or you can stay with someone else. But you are going to need to leave this house and go somewhere. I made sure your room was untouched. I love you honey, I promise I will communicate with you whenever I can.

After reading the note I looked down at Maggie.

"Eli I have no where to go, I don't know Tessa enough to go live with her. What am I gonna do?"

"Well you can come stay with me, I have practically an apartment in my basement and my room is down there too."

"Really?" Maggie's eyes were glossy and she had a bit of light back in her face.

Maggie jumped into my arms and hugged me with all the strength left in her body.

"Thank you Eli"
