At night Gopeswar came to brothers' chamber. Dau was sleeping peacefully. But Kanha was humming on the couch.

"Narayan, let's go," Gopeswar's urging made Kanha indicate towards dau through eyes.

"See, dau is sleeping. He needs to join us too, right?" Before completion of Kanha's sentence Gopeswar went near dau, and stood near his head.

Then Kanha too came, and both shook  him. But dau denied their attempts in sleep. At last Kanha shouted near his ear, and he woke up in annoyance.

"What happened, Kanha?" Dau rubbed his ears to soothe them from the sudden strike of intensity.

"Dau, we have to go," Kanha's tone was urging to be hurried.

"Where? In your marriage procession!" Dau asked being completely unaware of the purpose for which he was woken up.

"Don't worry, Dau. I won't give you the trouble of going in my marriage procession," Kanha told in a promising tone which dau didn't consider due to the situation.

"Stop talking in riddles, Kanha. Now say what to do?" Dau asked without getting into a banter.

"Gopeswar is here to meet Gauri. We have to make sure that no one could know about it," After getting the answer dau sighed.

They proceeded towards Gauri's room. On the way dau saw mata Devaki was going to Gopeswar's chamber. So, dau hurriedly went there, blew diyas of chamber, and slept in place of Gopeswar covering himself under blanket.

As mata Devki saw darkness, she called maids, and told them to lighten diyas. After lightening of some diyas Devaki saw a sleeping figure on bed, and assumed him as Gopeswar.

After that she went towards Gauri's room. Dau was bound to stay under blanket. Because maids were still lightening the diyas. Devaki met Kanha on her way. As Gopeswar and Gauri have left, he was searching for dau. Now he got trapped.

"Kanha, what are you doing here?" This question made Kanha gulp.

"No, nothing. But mata where are you going?" Kanha repeated Devaki's question.

"I am here to check whether Gauri slept peacefully or not," Saying so Devaki was about to go ahead.

"No need of this, mata. I have enquired about it by maids already," He came forward blocking her way in hurry.

Devki gave an unsatisfied look. Then Kanha got an idea.

"Mata, you know all says I am an excellent in dancing. But till now I didn't get your compliment. Come, I will show you," Kanha dragged Devki to hall. Then started showing his steps. Devaki was admiring him.

Then Devki called the girls who were practicing their steps for tomorrow's sangeet.

"Mata, why you called them?" He asked in awe.

"So that they can learn steps from you. Today I came to know that my son is unbeatable in dancing," She caressed his cheek.

"Mata, I will teach them!" He exclaimed with an expression like falling on land from sky.

"Why not? I want tomorrow's sangeet to be memorable. Because these all rituals are part of Maha shivratri. Now start," He nodded helplessly.

Kanha started teaching steps to those girls. Devaki was supervising that. Dau was enjoying it from a short distance. After late midnight they all went.

"Dau, why didn't you alert me?" Kanha marched towards dau with speedy steps.

"I was stuck in between mata and maids," Dau told the reason earning the suspicious glare from Kanha.

"Dau, I can't see any trace of seriousness on your face. Have you done this intentionally?" Putting his finger on chin Kanha deepened his glare towards dau.

"No, Kanha. But as I said you can't escape from the consequences of your deeds. I think it's already started," Dau chuckled making Kanha pout as usual.
