'that better not be you I see y/n',
Sergeant Platt said as I tried to sneak my way into the district, I stopped in my tracks and turned to face her, I lifted the sunglasses off of my eyes,
'and how you respond of it was in fact what you saw?',
I asked her slightly concerned, she looked up at me from her paperwork slightly annoyed,
'I would tell her that she should not be here considering she only had surgery a little while ago and she especially shouldn't be here if she is hungover because I know she attended Ruzek's birthday party last night',
Platt said to me. I nodded my head and continued to walk,
'well good thing you did not see her here',
I said quickly but still quite slowly walking up the stairs, once I moved past the gate I stopped as I was already tired just from walking up from my car. I let out a breath which was interrupted as it fully hurt to breathe, I kept walking,

I heard Kim query, I nodded my head,
'yes that is me',
I said slowly moving to my desk wanting to sit down,
'Halstead said you wouldn't be back for a little while',

'ah well you know he's over reacting I'm fine',

I heard Jay say standing behind me, I shut my eyes slightly before turning around to face him,

I said awkwardly smiling at him, he shook his head at me, everyone slowly turned away from us not too sure of what was going to happen,

Jay said to me before walking to the locker room. I slowly and painfully got up and followed him,
'baby why are you here?',
Jay asked me closing the door to the locker room, I sat down on one of the benches,
'cause I'm ready to be back',
I said in response trying not to show him I was in pain, he walked towards me,
'you may be mentally ready but you for sure aren't physically ready because you look like you are about ready to faint',
