Dora gets in a car with Esme, Arthur and John driving. To say that John is a good driver would be a lie. That is also why, they arrive way after Tommy and the others.
"Stop! Stop! Stop!" Shouts Arthur when John drives into the garage. " Come here. Enough now. Enough. Slow her up. Nice and easy."
"Story of your life, Arthur." Comments John, which Arthur replies with an huff.
"Right, we are here." They get out of the car and see Polly opening the door. Esme and herself walk towarsd the door and Polly, and pass Tommy, who leans against his car with a smoke.
"Nice car, John. How's she run?" Asks Tommy as he approaches them.
"Beautiful. Real smooth." Answers John proudly.
"Boys, not the right time." Mutters Dora from behind the Shelby brother's .
"Your sister's in there giving birth and you're talking about the bloody car." Tells Polly the boys sternly. Esme walks through the door inside, but Dora turns around in the door, leaning against the doorframe, looking between Polly and the Shelby men.
"Not much us men can do now, Pol." Answers Tommy.
"Except go get drunk." Interrupts Arthur way to enthusiastically.
"Right, come on." Tommy gestures for his brothers to move.
"There's one man who should be here." Tells Polly Tommy, obviously refering to Freddie.
Tommy turns around nodding at his aunt. "You're right, Pol. Freddie should be here."
"Is that a heartbeat I hear inside that chest?" Asks Polly sarcastically.
"The truce lasts till sunrise. On my oath. Tell Freddie it's safe." Polly smiles widely at that and pushes past Dora, rushing inside the house calling out for Ada.
"You're a good brother, Tommy." Smiles Dora nodding at the man, before walking inside as well, closing the door behind her.
Inside Dora is greeted with an already screaming and sweating Ada. Dorothy rushes into the room, watching helplessly, as Ada screams painfully.
"Keep going. That's right. Push." Tells Polly Ada. Dora walks over to them, kneels down next to Ada and puts and hand on Ada's shoulder, squeezing it in reassurance. Esme stands on the other side of Ada and puts her hands on Ada's lower stomach. "I think it might be the wrong way round. I attended three sisters."
Dorothy furrows her eyebrows not understanding what Esme talks about. Polly looks at Esme, feeling Ada's stomach for herself, before agreeing with Esme.
"I think you're right.""We should lean her forward." Says Esme and Polly pulls Ada up. "Come on Ada. Come on. Not long to go now, darling."
The women pull Ada forward so that she on her arms and knees. "Push, two, three."
