Dora sits in the backroom, or more Arthur's office, looking through the money that Arthur has taken, to change the numbers in the book, as Polly has told her earlier.
"Dorothy." Tommy breaths out, walking ito the room. He looks at the woman sitting at the desk, and walks closer to her, closing the door behind him.
"Tommy, what is it?" Dora looks up at the man, metting his steel blue eyes.
"I'm gonna have to lie low for a while." Tommy starts. Dora puts her pen down, turning in the chair to the side with an questioning face. "Why?"
"I lost my bargaining power." Replies Tommy, making Dora groan. "I though you said, that you'd hid'em well."
"I though so too, but it seems that someone talked a bit to much." Mutters Tommy sighing. "This copper, it's just me and him now."
He grabs Dorothy's hands, helping her get up. "When I get back, we're gonna be free of that copper."
"I overheard Harry saying that the police are already in Digbeth." Tells Dora the man. Tommy nods knowingly. "Yeah."
"You shouldn't have come, it's not save." Dora says putting her hand on his arm. Tommy is about to say something in reply, when Finn opens the door.
"The police are in the lane, Tommy!" Tells the boy his brother. Dora and Tommy look at each other, before Dorothy grabs Tommy's hand. "Come with me."
She leads him past Harry to the back entrace, ignoring the glances from Grace. Looking behind her to see Grace out of her sight field, Dora starts talking.
"Remember my father's old house?" Starts the brunette when they get to the back door, Tommy nods. "Good. Go there, I'll come after you, I just got to make sure that the coppers won't find out where you are, alright."
Tommy looks as her hesitantly, before he nods. "Alright, just hurry."
Dora nods at him, before she runs back into the pub. She quickly looks at Harry and Grace. "Don't say a thing."
Soon enough, a car drives up to the pub, and policemen enter, leaded by an older sketchy looking man. He slams his gun onto the counter and walks down with it sliding on the metal. "I'm looking for Thomas Shelby."
The man looks around the room, inspecting everyone. The room stays quiet, mostly out of fear, of what would happen if they would tell the copper about Tommy.
"He's gone." Tells Dora the man coldly. The man, presumingly Inspector Campbell, stares at her emotionless.
"You'll never find him." Finn says from beside Dora. Campbell's eyes wander immediately to him, and he takes a step into his direction. "Go home."
After a push of Dora, Finn runs out of the pub, probably going to tell Polly about it.
"Perhaps I should ask that question again." Starts the man again, lifting the gun of the counter. He lifts the gun pointing it at Dora's forehead, slowly aking a few steps forward.
"Now, understand this woman. I don't care if you live or die." Campbell now presses the gun into her forehead, without any reaction from Dora's side, who is determind to stand her ground, knowing not to show weakness.
"Like I said he left. I don't know where he is." Replies the woman once again. Campbell cocks the gun.
"She's right. He left through the back door." Tells Harry the Inspector. After a few more moments of an staring contest, between Campbell and Dorothy, the man takes the gun off her head and leaves the pub with the other policemen afther looking around te pub once more, throwing the brunette a cold glare.
Dora looks at Harry nodding at him thankful, before she throws a wary look at Grace, she walks past the people to the back door. Dorothy looks around for any indication, that she is watched and starts walking in the direction of her fathers old house.
To make sure that no one is following her, the brunette walks the longer way, always looking over her shoulder for any suspicious people.
Dora arrives at the front door of her fathers old family house. She creaks the front door open, and walks slowly into the room. Dorothy doesn't walk far until she looks at the barrel of a gun.
"Tommy?" Dora whispers with raised hands. Slowly the gun sinks leaving the woman's figure and Tommy walks into the light of the moon shining through the window. Tommy walks closer and puts his hands on her cheeks, carefully examing her. "Are you alright?"
Dorothy nods and Tommy let's go of her, before walking to the front door, closing it. Dora follows him with her eyes, and then looks around the small living room. She walks to the small desk next to the couch and turns the gas lamp on, she then moves her eyes towards Tommy who is looking around the small room, which looks way too clean for something that apperantly hasn't been used for years.
Dora sees his look, and starts explaining. "Nick comes here quite often. He's found a girl for himself, keeping it from me, or he is trying to at least, but he is not very good at it. They are spending a lot of time here."
She meets Tommy's eyes sighing. "Do you want something. Whisky, tea?" Dora asks while walking to the kitchen counter, Tommy following after her.
"Tea." Tommy answer leaning on the counter next to Dorothy, who raises an suprised eyebrow. "Are you trying to impress me?"
Tommy looks at her. "Yes. And do you have a biscuit?"
Dora sets the kettle, filled with hot water over the fire on the stove. "If so, then the mice have eaten it."
Tommy stares at her, making Dorothy look at him questioning. "What is it?"
"People look different at home." Tommy starts.
"How?" Dora turns to him, they are now facing eac other, standing rather close.
"Off guard." Dora chuckles at that and shakes her head. "There are places where people should be able to be off guard. Everybody needs a save place, to let their guard down."
Tommy nods agreeing. "But some don't have one."
Dorothy bites her bottom lip and looks away from the man, not knowing what to say.
"Do you have a gramophone?" Tommy asks watching the brunette stare at the kettle, before she takes it off the fire. Dora nods and points at a drawer, with the gramophone on top. "But I think it's broken."
"We could still dance." Tommy insists. Dorothy tuns to face him again, making Tommy continue. "I wasn't able to take you to the races, so let me make it up to you. Dorothy, can I have this dance?""
Tommy let's a small smile show on his face and holds out his hand. Dorothy couldn't help but smile softly at him, before taking his hand, forgetting about the kettle with the hot water next to them.
Tommy leads her to the middle of the room, putting a hand on her waist while holding her hand in his other. Dora smiles when she puts her hand on his shoulder and they start to sway softly from side to side, with their foreheads pressed against each other.
Their faces come closer, meeting in a soft kiss. Dorothy moves her hand from his shoulder to his neck pulling him a bit closer.
The soft kiss changes rather quickly into a more heated one, emotions from the past days bubble up and slide into the kiss. The passion and longing for more starts to fill boths bodies as they undress and walk to the couch not leaving each others lips.
