Chapter : 14

(Ryujin's Pov:)

"Mommy, where are we going?" I asked her as she brings me somewhere. She turns to me with her kind eyes.

"I'll bring you to someplace to lift your mood, okay darling?" She says enthusiastically. I nodded my head feeling intrigued and excited. We walked for a while, until we see a wooden gate. My mother kneels infront of me.

"Now darling, i want you to close your eyes. Don't open it when i say so. Got it?" I nodded with a bright smile. I started to close my eyes, until all i see is black. We started to move forward, i could hear the gate being opened with a creak. The moment i took one step, i felt soft grass. I giggled loudly making my mother chuckle. She stops making me halt.

"Okay darling, you can open your eyes now." She says and i obliged. Slowly i open my eyelids and see the world clearly. I gasped loudly in surprise.
I pointed infront of me.

"Mommy its a garden!!" I exclaimed loudly. Mother nods cheerfully.

"Yes darling it is." I giggled and let go of her hand.
I approached the beds of flowers that layed across the grass. I removed one and smelled it.

"Lia unnie would like this if she was here." I stated as I remembered my friend. I stood up and faced mommy. She was there looking at me with a smile. I grinned widely and ran too her.

"Mommy look!!" I waved my hand that held the flower. She remained there staring at me. I ran to her quickly , i was getting closer and closer. Before i got close, she suddenly vanished in thin air.
I stopped in my tracks in shock.

"Mommy.....?" I asked anxiously peering over the area she stood. And in a blink of an eye, my surroundings changed. I turned around the area.

"Mommy?" Suddenly the sounds of screaming and explosion was all i heard making me cover my ears.

"Mommy!!" I called out. I felt my body being turned. I looked up to see my mother with a frantic look in her face. I jumped on her and hugged her neck.

"Mommy i found you!!" I exclaimed happily like a naive kid.

"Y-yes darling. I-i found you t-too." I heard my mother say nervously. I pushed myself backward to see her face. I held it in my tiny palms.

"Mommy are you okay?" I asked her. She nods with a forced smile. But i was too young to know that.

"Yes darling, mommy is fine." We heard sounds of loud banging and shouting. My mother widens her eyes and begans to carry me.

"Baby we have to go inside." I nodded cluelessly. She ran as fast as she can and went inside her room. She brings me down and leads me inside a closet. She kneels down and places her hands in my shoulders.

"I want you to listen to me. Never go out of this closet unless i say so. I want you to be quiet. Understand??" She intructs firmly making me nod in response. She smiles and kisses my forehead. She looks at me with those soft eyes.

"I love you ryujin ... remember that." That was the last thing she said before closing the closet shut.

A loud bang suddenly erupts making me flinch.

"Where is she?!??" I heard a dark voice say.

"You will never find her. I sent her away!!" My mother shouts, a moment later, i heard sounds of choking.
